Design has never been fully understood or described therefore, design has never been fully recognized for its importance to evolution. Over the centuries design has taken a backseat to the concepts surrounding scientism. Design's importance has been greatly misunderstood and considered trivial when compared to science.
Science like all forms of consciousness, is reliant upon symbolic attendances, designs without which consciousness would never be known to exist. In every reality design runs parallel with Consciousness - a creation of a unified awareness of which nothing can be said or fully described.
All concepts of Presence are extensions of a Design Source beyond the archetypal. The source is made and found apparent symbolically, impressions tangible and intangible, a Presence designed and created to recognize its reflection from within. Consciousness is made aware by the means and virtue of design.
Design’s intimate relationship with consciousness attracts all forms of phenomenon towards self awareness. Design is the agent of
change. Design is intrinsic to evolution by means of substantiating the perpetual modification of all forms of consciousness.

The ability to bring balance to the mind, emotions, body and spirit is key to design's discovery, reconfiguration and transformation by means of transcendence.
Design is the engine behind consciousness. A self generated system of symbolic impressions, concepts, ideas which bring forth what we call a "reality". Design discovers, creates, incubates and executes the process that both subjectively and collectively raise awareness to greater frequency.

Science's dominion over humanity's conscious awareness has caused the design function to been hidden behind a veil of misinterpretation, misunderstanding and distortion. Pure empirical interpretation of the universe has become the dominant methodology by
which we perceive our world, our reality and our participation in it.
Empiricism continues to determine how we measure ourselves.

What so many people seem to crave now are experiences of joy or beauty or exhilaration; the challenges of a quest, the thrill of a chase, or the feeling of triumph from overcoming a horde of opponents in computer games. Or a sense of belonging that might be fostered by far-flung communities accessible via a smart-phone or through deeper connections with our real-world neighbors.
Some people want to be taken out of themselves into fantastical virtual worlds where they can experience ‘life’ in a different kind of body, perhaps one that can teleport or fly. Others seek to be more mindful and present in the now, using psychological and mindfulness practices, often coupled with virtual tools, to try to ground their psyches and still their minds.
Both camps share a desire for engagement of the ‘self,’ that ineffable quality which feels so real yet has been so hard to account for within the framework of science so far.
In this way of seeing, Descartes’s ‘I’ – the human self – became a problem. At least for science. Not that anyone ceased to feel a sense of their own self – as if that were even possible. Rather, there was no way to talk about a self within the terms of science. Increasingly, proponents of science took to saying the self is an illusion, or even a delusion. A key component of this philosophical shift is that in the age of physics, reality itself has come to be construed as the space of matter in motion. Now, if we want to claim something is real, we have to be able to pinpoint its coordinates in space and say “Ah it is here.

Design together with science are fundamental in acquiring a design consciousness. Their relationship provides the realization that constraints and limitation are necessary by means of number and measure, without which human consciousness would dissolve and retreat into an abyss of not knowing only believing.
