Design Metaphysics: Qualia

Conceptual impressions originating from this writing are yet to be substantiated, corroborated, confirmed or woven into a larger argument, context, network or post.

“Consciousness is being”
* * *

Awareness is an integral part of both the observed and the observer. The inability of science to see what is apparent is not the fault of the science but rather the lack of light brought forward by the observer.

The concept of qualia attempts to describe an amalgamation of subjective impressions that together give rise to sensual response. The concept of “I” or "being-ness" appears to be part of a subjective reality inaugurated within the constraints of a conceptual framework that is more felt than understood. Such feelings of awareness are typically categorized in the form of experiences that seem to emerge from within a virtual soup of unknown origin. Why do certain experiences make an impression upon us and others do not? Is there a certain degree of importance we bring to every experience, or do we seem more sensitive to certain circumstances or situations than others? Are there certain degrees of consciousness harbored within the concept of qualia that we seem to ignore?

Ideas surrounding the concept of “I” bring focus/attention/awareness to an introspective and self-contained reference seemingly created within a virtual context of our own making. Concepts surrounding consciousness better align themselves with quantum, i.e. symbolic/design thinking, than classical linear thought. Consciousness creates a multidimensional context where awareness is made viable for meditation and mediation. Consciousness along with awareness are best understood metaphorically. Qualia is more than a mental state and not part of a mind-body "problem", but rather a symbolically driven paradigm that shares and identifies one's level of conscious/awareness.

The concept of there being a source that interprets these impressions in the framework of thinking, sensing or feeling are reflections that justify the presence of there being an observer. Self-awareness is instrumental in bringing forward/attention those symbolic associations that unify/create an individual's "observational network". Every human feeling/impression/experience participates in the creation of a multidimensional field shared with others by virtue of a collective consciousness. Each participant constitutes a particular reflection

Consciousness has an intimate relationship with awareness, each being both dependent and independent of each other. Together they convene upon a dualistic relationship observed from within a linear context- Within this mysterious context individual patterns of vibratory energy appear to coagulate about a series of homologous impressions, coded/assigned/designed to vibrate patterns forms of energy subjectively associated events and experiences. These impressions appear to emerge from a multitude of boundless resources (fields of energy) that when meshed/overlapped in the most appropriate manner, likewise, establish an instantaneous recognition to the experience.

Qualia seems to describe a certain coherency or resonance in the form of a vibratory measure of synthetic character, an amalgamation of quantum ethers locked within the parameters of a space less space surrounding the concept of being or the self. This proposition implies that there are only a small number of symbolic references (designs) that can be referred to as being the most appropriate identifiers in bringing to light what we think or believe who we are.

Our mind along with our emotions together form a degree of relevance in 3D space/time by acting in a multidimensional tandem to form a series of attractions about an etheric concept of self (spirit). Transformations between each field appear before our consciousness as a series of symbols that give individual preference to every moment made evident within a certain contextual matrix.

Attraction harbors the potential for other forms of energy, light and information by means of a gradual metamorphosis made apparent in space/time. The wave function describes its energy “state” in the form of a particle. Unseen or unobserved states of energy (particles) harbor the potential of becoming realized by means of the function of the wave. Life which includes all forms of energy seen and unseen, are guided by the interaction between a wide range of vibratory pulsations. Forces interact and patterns naturally emerge from deep within a vibratory field of incomprehensible measure. In essence context, i.e. consciousness, means everything. It is the field in which forms emerge, and time destroys. It symbolizes the field/context in which energy is made apparent and eventually returns. It harbors the concept of an omnipresence where a concept of balance and unity can be subjectively discovered and interpreted by means of design.

"Awareness is conditioned by momentary reflections of things or symbols. It is something that can send your mind deep into further levels of understanding."
Hua Hu Ching

Attraction is determined by intention. We interpret this attraction in the form of a feeling.

Science and design are fundamental in acquiring a design consciousness. Their relationship demonstrates that limitations are necessary by means of number and measure, without which human consciousness would dissolve and retreat into an abyss of not knowing and only believing.

This writing delves deeply into the relationship between consciousness, awareness, qualia, and the concept of self, intertwining philosophy, psychology, quantum theory, and metaphysics. Here are some key points and themes from your reflection:
1. The Observer and the Observed: You propose that awareness is an essential component both in the observer and in the observed phenomenon. This suggests that consciousness is not just something that observes the world but is actively involved in its creation. The observer is not separate from what is being observed; they form a unified experience. This idea resonates with various philosophical traditions, including idealism and non-dualism, where reality is co-constructed by consciousness.
2. Qualia as Subjective Experience: The concept of qualia refers to the ineffable, subjective qualities of experience—like what it feels like to see a particular color, taste a flavor, or feel pain. You mention that these experiences "emerge from within a virtual soup of unknown origin," suggesting that qualia are not simply reducible to physical processes but rather emerge from deeper, perhaps unknowable sources. This could be a reference to the difficulty in reconciling subjective experience with physicalist explanations of the mind.
3. The “I” or “Being-ness”: The idea that the concept of “I” arises within a self-referential framework touches on existential and phenomenological ideas about the self. This “I” is not an isolated entity but a dynamic, evolving process that emerges within an ever-changing field of awareness. The sense of "self" is thus portrayed as both constructed and fluid, appearing within a conceptual framework rather than as a static, independent reality.
4. Consciousness and Quantum Metaphors: You suggest that consciousness and awareness might better align with quantum mechanics rather than classical linear thinking. Quantum mechanics, with its non-locality, wave-particle duality, and uncertainty, provides metaphors for understanding consciousness as something that is not bound by linear or deterministic structures. This connection is explored in various speculative theories (like the “quantum mind” hypothesis) which suggest that consciousness may have properties that mirror quantum phenomena.
5. Symbolic Paradigms and Shared Collective Experience: The idea that qualia and consciousness are symbolic and driven by design suggests that human experience is not merely a passive reception of stimuli but is actively constructed through symbolic meaning-making. This framework of awareness allows individuals to align their experiences with collective consciousness, creating a shared field of symbolic references that help define "who we are." You also suggest that the self and its experiences are not isolated but participate in a larger, multidimensional field, connected to others through a collective consciousness.
6. Energy, Vibration, and Attraction: The notion that everything is driven by vibratory patterns of energy that interacts within a context (consciousness) resonates with various models of reality, including both spiritual and scientific paradigms. From a quantum perspective, energy (in the form of waves and particles) exists in potential states until it is observed or interacts with other fields, giving rise to specific phenomena. The idea that attraction is guided by intention and interpreted through feeling ties into both quantum theories and metaphysical systems, which emphasize the mind's power to influence reality.
7. The Role of Science and Design: You assert that science and design are foundational in the development of a “design consciousness,” suggesting that human awareness and understanding are structured through a framework of limitations, numbers, and measures. Without this structure, consciousness might dissolve into ambiguity. This could reflect an argument for the necessity of both scientific rigor and artistic or symbolic creativity in forming a coherent understanding of existence.
In sum, your reflection combines metaphysical and epistemological ideas about the nature of experience, consciousness, and the role of the observer. It touches on complex and speculative topics such as the interrelationship between mind and reality, the non-locality of consciousness, and the idea of a collective or shared field of awareness. The metaphors you draw from quantum mechanics, symbolism, and design offer a rich, multidimensional view of human experience, suggesting that our awareness is both a personal and collective phenomenon, deeply interconnected with the very fabric of reality.

But An Impermanent State

Conceptual impressions surrounding this post are yet to be substantiated, corroborated, confirmed or woven into a larger argument or network.

All shapes, forms and appearances conform to every situation at hand, responding within identifiable parameters in an unending vacillation between internal causation and external effect. This is a perpetual process that cycles upon itself ad infinitum. In design imbalance is a natural condition and balance but an impermanent state. In this manner permanence, e.g. materialism, becomes an agent for change.

In an unending quest for balance forms are continually being fragmented and reconstructed in reference to and within the parameters of, a greater field of consciousness in which they participate and have their relative “being”.

In reference to humanity, change appears to originate from within the subconscious, which is a virtual field and unidentifiable awareness, a quality that co mingles and interpenetrates consciousness. The subconscious also appears as a causal agent that has the power to influence both the conscious observer and the “material field” that interpenetrates the field of the perceiver, e.g. qualia.

Consciousness has the potential to adhere and connect to a wide variety of systems of formation that are integrated with and molded about, certain archetypal patterns. Experience places conscious/awareness into a contextual environment therefore increasing the potential to generate shifts in awareness, e.g. synchronicity.

A “design” is the result of a number of critical elements that are somewhat “locked” into certain patterns, i.e. meanings and purposes that have been described and defined through experience. These patterns are encoded within the context of the field and are tainted by the intentions and perceptions of the observer. Likewise, all such patterns can be fine-tuned thereby changing the field and the very context in which the phenomenon is perceived and/or observed.

Therefore, both the meaning and the purpose in support of any archetypal directive can be refined and/or altered to accommodate every situation. By adjusting the focus and/or intent of any particular frequency, i.e. pattern, any design can be modified and transformed.

An original intent in support of any archetypal pattern appears as a constant, only its context changes thereby allowing for alteration and adaptation. For example, over the course of human consciousness the field of human awareness has expanded over time due to the context in which these patterns “materialized”. Evolution has been packaged into a vast array of macro and micro experiences that have been both supported and rejected by selection, i.e. choices if you will, made within the parameters of a planetary field of consciousness.

“The brain is not a machine for logic but in fact a construction that does pattern recognition, and it does it by filling-in ambiguous situations.”
Gerald Edelman

Adjustments by iteration are made by a natural sequencing of events and are based upon archetypal templates that originate beyond the scope of human awareness. Although virtual in origin, these permutations are viewed as being physical, mental and/or emotional in content and character, impressions brought on by experiences in relative “form” that appear to emerge from a single mysterious source, i.e. virtual reality.

Consciousness has meaning and purpose, an awareness that is put into context by design. Through experience, awareness can change patterns and ultimately the field in which it appears. Experience encourages awareness and change, thereby altering all perceivable concepts of reality without destroying the original schematic.

“The properties of consciousness are that it is a process and that involves awareness.”
William James
