The Observer

Conceptual impressions surrounding this post have yet to be substantiated, corroborated, confirmed or woven into a larger argument, context or network.

Design’s appear before us symbolically. Design is a product of our own  creation, the result of the relationship between our mind and our emotions. Design is made apparent/conscious to us by means of our awareness ... in its most symbolic form.  The situation/context affects our observation and therefore our interpretation of what we describe as reality. Design describes and defines these symbolic relationships by how we observe and perceive them from our own particular point of view. Design symbolically chronicles the never ending dance between meaning and purpose.

Design becomes known when we suspend our observations, decisions and judgements relative to an event or experience we perceive or observe. Design makes us sensitive to the symbolism underlying every event and experience. Design demands we "step back" and ponder on what we observe. Design observation, perception and analysis focuses on the concept of change as energy moves from one state/pattern to another. Design concentrates on how these impressions alter our perception of the world.

Considering the circumstances it is imperative that we concentrate upon the symbolism attached to every perception and observation. Design thinking and reasoning allows for flexibility and adaptability in both correspondence and interpretation. Design is the expression of an on-going series of events and experiences we call Life, energy-in-motion actively exchanged between complementary elements. Design is change.

Design is a symbolic process made apparent by means of sign, symbol and metaphor. All events and/or experiences are made conscionable by means of an arrangement of elemental signs pre- scribed for the situation.

Design brings to awareness the realization that separation is merely an extension of one's own point of view. All things design and are connected because all things are conscious. To know design is to focus within. Eliminate the concept of there being a complete identification with either meaning or purpose, rather observe and become witness to the flow of energy-in-motion (e-motion) before you. Know that there is a meaning and a purpose in support of this perpetual balancing act I've described as design consciousness. Detach from identifying with one or the other and release your attention (at-tension) from intention (in-tension) and therefore the conflicts within every illusion.

Become the observer by becoming the observed.
