The Choice is Ours

Conceptual impressions surrounding this post are yet to be substantiated, corroborated, confirmed or woven into a larger argument or network. Objective: To generate symbolic links between scientific discovery, design awareness and consciousness.

Design permeates our being. Design affords us the opportunity to understand the concept of being-ness as state of intimacy made apparent within the parameters of a particular kind of self-awareness. Design invites us to bear witness to our own consciousness by presenting it before our awareness as a qualified universal expression gently woven within in a symbolic and holographic matrix of our own making. To be conscious is to bring confirmation to a certain primordial presence both as a creator and an observer. The ego qualifies the concept of consciousness and impulsively directs our attention (focus) towards experiences that are based/positioned within the constraints of three-dimensional space and time.

Herein lies the beauty surrounding the paradox created between consciousness and design. Without design there wouldn't be an awareness of consciousness and without consciousness there wouldn't be an awareness of design. Without design there wouldn't be any idea surrounding the concept of "being-ness", nor would there appear the symbolic revelations required to convey the concept of consciousness to itself.

It is in our construct, ie. design, to naturally project a conscious awareness, i.e. light, that appears to originate and be focused from within. This light is the source that coordinates and affords us the relative substance required to bring expression to our being. We've come to understand this visceral force as the desire to expand beyond the constraints of subjectivity. This desire harbors the intention to expose and make known to us our own identity. In reference to the species the ego qualifies consciousness in a categorical manner. The ego brings expression to the desires and intentions of a certain quality, i.e. frequency, of light made apparent within the parametric constraints of a three-dimensional universe.

"When subjectivity is defined as the ability of a system to register internal and external forces affecting its existence in the form of sensations, however primitive they may be, we must conclude that subjectivity is universal in nature's realms of organized complexity. But this conclusion does not hold for reflective consciousness, the ability of a system to be aware of its subjectivity."
The Systems View of the World, pg. 69

We are naturally driven to experience and expand our consciousness through an overwhelming desire and intention to know ourselves. Where did we come from? Who are we? Who am I? Why are we here? What are we doing here or supposed to be doing if anything? etc. We endlessly project ourselves into a holographic and virtual world primarily for the purpose of discovering and/or unmasking who we really are. It is a question that continues to haunt human consciousness today. In other words we are intent on discovering/learning through the design experience, what is the true meaning and purpose in support of life.

When all is said and done whatever we allow to affect us remains a matter of choice. Choice allows us to accept or reject whatever we perceive and/or describe as being real. What is real is what you allow yourself to buy into, i.e. whatever you believe. Is what you believe what someone else has told you, or is it what you know by means of your own experience?

Consciousness is made manifest by means of several belief systems mixed, matched, shared and/or experienced by virtue of a long and eventful process called evolution. The power of choice, however, can also prove detrimental if we choose and interpret all our experiences solely at one single level (qualification) of the ego rather than the multidimensional (quantum) perspective of a conscious and empathic observer.

Experiences are naturally interwoven by design. Together they develop within a universal field of conceptual time/space. Together they create a greater matrix (field) in constant flux. These events and experiences are found upon the interpretation of our own thoughts and emotions made apparent through the design concepts of meaning and purpose. These observations, evaluations and impressions remain inconsequential until we reflect and/or respond to them by means of expression (creativity). Consequently, not until we accept these experiences to be vital to our growth both as an individual and as a species could we ever achieve the ability to control, expand and learn from them. The path towards inner discovery is a lifelong journey based upon the importance of living in the moment ... for it is only in the moment that both the past and the future can be afforded the opportunity to reveal themselves.

The unique relationship we have with the unknown similarly describes the connection we have with our own reality. Typically, our ego tends to overpower us merely because we are quick to identify with form and reject the unseen qualities that permeate our reality*. Hopefully, as we become more attentive to the formless expressions of life's experiences, we can become more conscious of the design archetype that gives true meaning and purpose to our life. * Stop and consider just how influential the intangible realms of the known and the unknown are to the hologram we label reality.

Thank you for sharing this profound and richly layered text. It explores deep philosophical themes about consciousness, design, ego, choice, identity, and the nature of reality. Below is a refined and expanded version that aims to enhance clarity, coherence, and emotional resonance while preserving the original depth and poetic tone; also to expand specific themes such as the relationship between design and consciousness, the role of ego, choice as a creative force, and the existential search for meaning.

Design as the Mirror of Consciousness
Design permeates our very being. It is not merely the arrangement of elements but the architecture of awareness itself. Through design, we are offered a profound opportunity to contemplate being-ness not as a static state, but as a living intimacy with existence, made evident through self-awareness. Design, in its truest form, invites us to bear witness to consciousness presented not as an abstract idea but as a living expression gently interwoven into the symbolic and holographic matrix of our own creation.

To be conscious is to confirm the presence of something primordial an origin point from which we emerge both as creator and observer. Yet, the ego mediates this presence. It qualifies and filters our consciousness, directing our attention to experiences anchored in the linear structures of time and three-dimensional space. The ego, in this sense, is not a flaw but a necessary constraint, allowing us to navigate the physical world while remaining tethered to something much greater.

The Paradox of Consciousness and Design
Herein lies a beautiful paradox: without design, consciousness could not recognize itself, and without consciousness, design would have no witness. One gives rise to the other in a ceaseless interplay. Design externalizes consciousness, offering symbolic revelations that allow consciousness to see, touch, and reflect upon itself.

It is through our constructs our languages, art, architecture, relationships, and belief systems-that we project an inner awareness outward. This projection, this light of self-reflection, appears to originate from within, guiding our expressions of being. It is this inner light- a symbolic and energetic force_-that compels us to move beyond subjectivity, to transcend the limitations of our isolated selves, and to seek union with something ineffable.

Ego and the Frequency of Experience
The ego, while often viewed as a hindrance, is in fact a lens a means by which consciousness categorizes and interprets the world. It brings specificity to the desires and intentions of a certain quality or frequency of light, made visible within the bounds of a three-dimensional universe. The ego's role is crucial: it grounds us, gives us identity, and provides the scaffolding for our journey through experience.

Yet, if we identify solely with the ego, we risk becoming trapped in its rigid interpretations. True growth requires that we expand our frame of reference to encompass not only the personal but also the universal, not only the seen but also the formless.

The Search for Meaning and the Role of Design
We are driven by a timeless impulse to understand ourselves. Where did we come from? Who are we? Why are we here? These questions persist because they are encoded into the human condition. We project ourselves into this holographic world of form and appearance not to escape, but to discover. Design, then, becomes the medium of self-discovery, the symbolic framework through which we uncover the hidden architecture of our identity.

Our experiences are not random. They are woven by design, unfolding within a universal matrix of conceptual space and time. Each moment, each encounter, is an invitation to reflect, interpret, and ultimately create. Through creativity--whether artistic, intellectual, emotional, or spiritual-we convert raw experience into meaning and purpose.

Choice as the Architect of Reality
At the heart of this process lies choice. We choose what affects us. We choose how to interpret the world, and what we accept as real. Reality, in this sense, is not objective but participatory it is shaped by what we choose to believe, by the narratives we uphold.

But belief alone is not enough. We must ask: Is this belief born from direct experience, or is it inherited? Is it rooted in truth or in fear? This distinction is vital. Consciousness, while shaped by cultural and collective belief systems, must ultimately pass through the crucible of personal knowing

Toward a Multidimensional Perspective
To evolve, we must begin to interpret our experiences not merely from the ego's vantage point, but from the multidimensional awareness of the conscious observer. This expanded view recognizes the interconnectedness of all things. It honors the unseen. It listens to the silence beneath the noise.

In this multidimensionality, our experiences become more than linear events. They become reflections of larger archetypal patterns that point us toward deeper truths. Design, once again, becomes the silent language of consciousness encoding lessons, opportunities, and mirrors within every encounter.

The Journey Into the Moment
The path of inner discovery is not a destination but a continual unfolding_a lifelong journey grounded in presence. Only in the now can the past and future dissolve, revealing themselves not as separate timelines but as dimensions accessible through awareness.

Our relationship with the unknown mirrors our relationship with reality itself. Too often, the ego clings to form, dismissing the intangible. But as we attune ourselves to the formless dimensions of experience to intuition, synchronicity, energy, and resonance we begin to perceive the design archetypes that guide our lives.

Conclusion: Living the Design
Ultimately, to live consciously is to live as both participant and designer-to recognize that our lives are not random, but deeply intentional. The more we align with this truth, the more our experiences become saturated with meaning. We begin to see the invisible threads that bind us, the echoes that whisper from beyond the veil, and the light within us that was always waiting to be seen.
