Trust is Believing

The design paradigm is based upon the premise that consciousness is the product of a vibratory universe, and that what appears to emerge and be perceived to be conscious is “in form” a thought (purpose) emerging from a virtual field of energy that for all intents and purposes describes the unknown. In my opinion, the unknown can be revealed and brought to awareness by the very consciousness that perceives it. This process describes the design paradigm as a primordial force that first manifests as a frequency interpreted as the desire (emotion) to know.

The systemic use and symbolic application of language, mathematics, art, music, dance, etc. are design tools that are projected from a field thought to be conscious and in quest of expansion, i.e. knowledge and understanding. Consciousness is a thought symbolically perceived and described as both a thought form (wave frequency) and a hologram (particle frequency), i.e. light.

A "world" without thought would be less real than a world without sight, sound, or touch. But, what is thought? For starters, trying to define thought would be like trying to see your acts of seeing. Thought, that is, is not a mere thing in the world; it is the source, form, and continuity of all things.
We literally think our worlds into existence. How many things are there without thought? None: "Things" is a concept This means that without thought there is neither "you" nor "me," nor even "world." There is nothing that could be thought of. This also means there is no "we" independent of thought, and certainly not a we who is doing the thinking.
Can I ever find, as Krishnamurti might ask, the 'I' between two thoughts? That is, see if you can find a thinker who, remaining wholly unthought of, thinks thoughts. Whenever I find a thinker, the thinker is always "within" a thought. Said plainly, it is not that we think thoughts, but rather, it is thought that thinks us.
Thought is not our own, it is the world's. That is, thought doesn't think itself; it is the world that thinks. We, each of us, are the places and moments by which the world thinks.
All said and done, the world thinks itself into existence by thinking thoughts of thinkers thinking about the world.

These frequencies are holographic in nature and due to their vibratory rate, can take on physical, mental and emotional qualities and characteristics. I’m of the opinion that the universe is observed within the constraints of a three-dimensional space/time duality that vibrates and appears before our awareness (frequency template) symbolically. I view the I Ching, like many other simple and exquisitely designed languages, as a system of symbols designed to both express and communicate thoughts that are projected in the form of a frequency identified as the desire to explore the unknown.

A major contributor to the design paradigm is the Hindu expression Kama Manas - that with every thought there is an emotion and with every emotion a thought. This proposition helps identify and describe the field of energy we describe as consciousness. All thought forms have an identity, which is a reflection of how they are perceived and interpreted, i.e. the conjoined frequencies forming the context in which we comprehend them. Based upon such labels, we perceive to “know” and in some cases believe, that both form and formlessness exist simultaneously in 3D space/time. This knowledge is predicated upon a certain degree of trust in both what we sense and what we feel. In this manner each of us create the holographic fields we individually and collectively refer to, believe in, and accept as reality.

Therefore, what we believe is highly dependent upon the very vibratory frequencies to which we resonate, vibrations based upon what is sensed (physical), perceived (mental) and felt (emotional). The symbol is the carrier that gives relative thought to these frequencies making their transition and transformation between dimensions a journey between fields “designed” to support the desire to expand in awareness and harmony.

Trust and belief are subjective interpretations with collective ramifications. Trust and belief have a vibratory relationship between them; where each characteristic supports the other. This association, in turn, unifies the material, emotional and mental components that together create the rationale surrounding the context (reality) in which they vibrate. Existing within these same parametric guidelines are situations that expose both the subjective and collective values and qualities of each and every experience. Beliefs are typically challenged, and at times appear out of phase, when viewed within the harmonic field that every thought has its being.

Separation is not unique, but rather imperative to the exchange of energy required for an expansion of awareness. Resistance is typical and should be expected. What is of signficance is the perceiver’s capacity to resonate and be absorbed by a more inclusive frequency. The process gives birth to a collective awareness that, within the parameters of its own frequency, will continue to be challenged by other collective vibratory sources of greater or comparable magnitude.

To believe requires thinking to step beyond its own constraints and towards internalization and transformation. The situation is designed to simultaneously reunite and fragment the micro and macro fields of thought that subjectively and collectively give precedence to certain concepts of universe and self. At the border of every field are peripheral thought processes that support new designs that vibrate in reference to other fields that subsist within the vast conceptual oneness we perceive as Life.

And as belief and trust approach singularity, i.e. a unity, new forms of awareness are experienced and created. We believe and trust in what we “feel”. We believe in what we can trust and trust in what we believe, whether these holographic impressions appear before our consciousness in the form of an object, movement, institution or individual. It’s all just a thought.

Oullim and the Tao of Design

This paper was presented in October 2001 for the ICSID (International Council of the Society of Industrial Design) which was held in Seoul, Korea. The paper discusses Oullim, (which in Korean means Harmony) the Tao and Design. I believe similar observations described in this paper became the source for Lao Tzu’s work. He put into verse a Design he sensed to exist and present itself as Nature. Lao Tzu and others viewed the conglomeration of these forces to be symbolic of the Tao (Dao), the "Way" or "Path". Lao Tzu realized that Life is a series of experiences discovered when on a journey. He believed we could live in harmony with Nature by observing and appropriately responding to these forces as they manifest before our consciousness. Through simple observation and symbolic interpretation Lao Tzu and other ancient scholars, realized that humanity was intimately connected and highly dependent upon Nature for survival.

Lao Tzu was a designer. He viewed his world symbolically and likewise learned from what he sensed, felt and observed. Lao Tzu was sensitive to the subtle nuances that found unique expression through individual forms of energy in addition to the “system” in which they were dependent. Oftentimes these impressions affected Lao Tzu in ways he could not fully understand or fully observe. Lao Tzu was sensitive to many unseen forces in Nature. He seemed to intuitively understand that when sensitive to the forces of Nature there was an expansion in knowing and awareness.

Lao Tsu was sensitive to the mysterious expressions of a force symbolically appearing before his consciousness. He must of realized that only through paradox, rhyme and symmetry, i.e. duality, would he be able to communicate and share with others what he felt and observed. In essence, Lao Tzu became aware of the Tao and sensitive to its’ forces through design, i.e. symbolic formations of energy that both individually and collectively linked him to both the known and the unknown.

What is unique about the Tao is that it is not necessarily a rational philosophy, a belief system, or entirely ideological, but rather presents a holistic map on how to live gracefully and in harmony with Nature. The Tao is more about the art of living than a set of rules by which to live. In a sense the Tao rests on the fringes of a belief system. The Tao doesn’t tell us how to live, but rather suggests that we live in the now and to always be cognizant of a greater design in which we participate. The Tao asks us to become especially aware of those patterns being expressed in Nature and to learn how to appropriately respond to Nature’s nurturing and restraining forces.

The Tao reveals how to live in harmony as expressed symbolically in Nature's own creations. It implies that each of us must find our own path as we relate to the Tao, i.e. the great mystery. We each participate in the “system” and contribute to it in our own special way through the design paradigm. We give form to our creations, which like Nature correspond with unseen forces made cognizant before consciousness. The patterns of energy that appeared before Lao Tzu still appear before our own consciousness ... only the context has changed. By design everything changes yet remains the same today as it was when Lao Tzu wrote the Tao Te Ching.

Oullim and the Tao of Design

Abstract: Thirty-five years of design practice, teaching and investigation into the phenomenon we’ve come to understand as design has led me to the Tao. Oullim: the “Great Harmony”, is an expression of the Tao and in my opinion, instrumental in generating a new understanding of the design function in today’s world. In my opinion, design describes the act of creating and perceiving our world symbolically, which I believe is consistent and essential in both understanding and experiencing consciousness itself.

Design appears to be an expression of a unified awareness, i.e. a unified field if you will, that attempts to imply the expansiveness of the Tao. Design is relevant to how humanity perceives reality and perpetuates a universal consciousness. Through design the dualistic qualities of yin and yang are expressed in the appearance of meaning and purpose. Design appears to give meaning and purpose to a “conscious awareness” we experience every day of our lives. Meaning and purpose together create the situation, i.e. the duality, required to experience the Tao and in turn, discover and experience the ancient Asian concept of Oullim.

My objective is to present design as being an instrument of consciousness and central to the evolution of the human species. It is my hope that this paper will encourage a revision in the interpretation, definition and understanding of design and the design function.

1. Design Beginnings?

There are those who have argued that the origins of design began approximately two and a half million years ago when humanity first began creating tools. Yet the fact of the matter is design had already existed … humanity had only recently become aware of it. Besides finding it’s expression in the many species of plants and animals that inhabited the planet, design also made itself “self evident” in the geological formations of the earth and in the cyclical movements of the planets.

In retrospect, humanity’s tool making ventures were in response to patterns and forces made apparent to the perceiver. Though many of the elements that gave structure to a design paradigm have changed, the fashion by which we respond to them remains fundamentally the same.

Like today humanity didn’t fully understand the universe in which they lived, but over time became aware that they too were active participants in a mysterious flow of Life. They responded to this realization by inquiring into Life’s patterns in the only fashion they could, through their imagination. They strove to interpret and explain the world they participated in by attempting to comprehend the relationships between events in a manner that made sense to them. They realized that they could actively affect their world, and in part their survival, by giving form to these imaginings in a fashion that was sensitive to the forces of nature. They came to understand that their efforts met fruition when they worked in harmony with nature and not against it.

Images appeared before them in ways they couldn’t comprehend, yet they continued to sensitize themselves to the signs, i.e. designs of nature, which when successful, allowed them to survive and prosper. There was only one certainty; change was a major player in the mystery. In a sense, they grew and were led towards greater awareness and intelligence through the use of the imagination and its ability to bring design to life.

A circumstance that could be described as an intelligent affirmation of their own being made in conjunction and association with the world around them, led humanity to actively expand their horizons. This was an association that was initiated by the quickening of a new awareness brought about through symbolic means. Association triggers expansion, awareness and growth. Design perpetuates this atmosphere by expressing and displaying its associative qualities in a symbolic fashion. Design is the vehicle by which Life expresses itself. It does this symbolically. The imagination is the receiver and incubator in which design, i.e. symbols, are digested, created and transformed into action. Design is a vehicle and a facilitator that allows humanity to create the most intimate associations within the realms of both the seen and the unseen.

Design facilitates the situations necessary for creative ventures brought forth by the imagination. Design’s ability to affect our imagination nourishes a natural growth in awareness, i.e. consciousness, which in turn perpetuates a greater knowing and understanding of both oneself and the world. For humanity design becomes conscionable through the interplay between the unseen forces of the mind and the emotions. In this manner the world intimately touches us in our evolutionary journey, as we in turn touch the world.

2. Taoism – An Ageless Wisdom

The origins of Taoism is said to have extended back to 3000 BC. The first written material concerning the Tao was attributed to Lao Tzu and Chaung Tzu and first appeared near 500 BC. The Tao has been described as a philosophy and for some it has become a religion. The word Tao translates as the Way or Path, which includes the manner in which we perceive the world, how we interact with Life, and how we perceive ourselves in relation to the world. The Tao’s central principle is that all Life is part of a unified whole or unity that originates from an unexplainable source which is the Tao. Taoism also states that all Life tends to move towards a balance or harmony, i.e. Oullim, because it is in its nature to do so while operating according to a set of unchanging and natural laws. According to the Tao, the universe is considered a vast Oneness, i.e. unity, change is the only constant and harmony is the only basic principle of existence. The Tao moves through the universe by flowing effortlessly according to its own principles as expressed in nature. The great sage Lao Tzu once said, "The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao. ”

The Tao Te Ching is based upon the study of the natural order of things and how to work and interact with nature and not against it. Lao Tzu’s writings were focused upon a spiritual level of living and discouraged the need of trying to look for results. Lao Tzu encourages us to seek the clarity and the stillness of the mind and to be receptive and act upon the unseen influences surrounding us. Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu provide us with a direction on how to achieve a state of harmony and balance with the Tao. They describe each of us having the choice to either align ourselves with the Way, or remain in ignorance and resist the natural order. The Tao has been described as a guide towards self-exploration, growth and transformation, which allows us to communicate deeply within ourselves and with the world around us.

The Tao does not describe a particular philosophy as such, but rather comments upon the art of living. The Tao has often been described as being nameless, formless and unpredictable and is so expansive that it cannot be understood merely by rational means alone. Taoist also believe that humanity is an integral part of this divine order and that all things have an active role in its expression.

It has already been demonstrated over the centuries that no one system devised by humanity can fully define or explain the intricacies surrounding Life. And rather than observing Life as a detached observer, as mandated by the scientific paradigm, the Tao encourages us to realize that Life is a path that must be entered and fully experienced in order to make any real sense out of it. Ironically however, Life cannot be fully understood by any one of us, because we are all an integral part and active participant in its creation and existence. Subsequently, Life makes it impossible for any one point of view, belief system or perception to become the sole proprietor of the truth.

3. Taoist Principles

The first principle of Taoism is that the universe and everything partaking in it, is part of an inseparable whole, a great Unity, a vast Oneness, with everything being interconnected. The Taoist philosophy is based upon observing nature, but unlike science, which observes nature as being separate from the observer, Taoism observes nature subjectively and includes both the observed and the observer as part of the whole.

Quantum physics has demonstrated that the observer is fundamental to the existence of the universe and that the universe is a dynamic web of interconnected and inseparable energy patterns. Known as the "Observer Effect", this discovery implies that before anything can manifest in the physical universe it must first be observed. Observation cannot occur without the pre existence of some kind of consciousness doing the observing. The "Observer Effect" clearly implies that the physical universe is a direct result of what we would consider consciousness.

A second principle of Taoism is that there are always two basic distinctions in nature symbolized by the yin and the yang, or what could be more correctly considered as a dynamic balance between opposing elements. These twin concepts of yin and yang are peculiar to Chinese cosmology and are often symbolized as the two opposing elemental forces active in the universe. Yin exists in yang and yang also exists in yin. It is said that the principle of polarity can be found everywhere in the universe: above and below, heaven and earth, the visible and the invisible. It is this circumstance that allows for movement and therefore continual change with everything being relative and flexible.

Generally Yin is considered a feminine principle associated with earth, and a force that materializes things, completing, solidifying, organizing, the material aspect, conservative, passivity, dark, winter, absorbing, soft, cold, negative. Yang is considered a masculine principle associated with heaven, and a force that is active, initiating, moving, loosening, expanding, and changing what is already in existence, light, sun, summer, fiery, powerful.

There is no good or bad associated with the Tao when considering the laws of yin-yang, there is only the representation of opposite positions. The symbol for yin-yang shows a balance between opposites and portrays the fact that there is no masculine nature or feminine nature. Each is naturally contained in the other. Both powers are represented in one cycle and are held together in a rhythmic flow as two mutually interdependent parts of the whole.

Within the context of the second principle of the Tao there are five points to consider when reviewing the law governing Yin and Yang. One is that everything has two opposing aspects that struggle with and control each other. Secondly, that Yin and Yang also define each other and therefore cannot exist entirely without the other. Thirdly, each affords access to the other in order to nurture and nourish the other. Fourthly, each can transform and in a sense become the other. And fifthly, there is a little of each in the other, which accounts for the ability of everything to be subdivided ad infinitum.

4. Design Revisited

First we need to re-examine the definition of design where we discover that the origin of the word stems from the Latin meaning "to mark, mark out", or more specifically to "sign". Design’s primary definition has to do with the art of signing and in essence, the act of creating symbols. Further definitions describe the act of design as being expressions of purposeful planning, conceiving, drawing, mentally projecting, devising, modeling, etc. These are particular expressions of design, i.e. communicable events, which are themselves symbolic in character. Design encompasses and gives precedence to the process of symbolic interpretation by which we objectively and subjectively perceive and experience Life as it is presented to us. Design attempts to reveal the underlying meaning and purpose in support of the forms that accompany us in our personal Life journey.

4.1 Yang’s Purpose and Yin’s Meaning

When we begin to apply the Taoist classifications of yang to design it should be interpreted as being purposeful, primarily non-material in essence, infinite, active, that which brings about change, illuminating, and mental in character. Yin should be regarded as a force which appears more meaningful, concrete, solid, finite, conforming, stable, material in essence, that which exists after illumination, and is emotional in character. Together they allow for movement or change. In design, change is one of perspective and symbolic interpretation brought on by the mental and emotional qualities; i.e. characteristics, we attached to form.

Opinions, beliefs, facts and reality change as the situations change in reference to earlier interpretations. It is here where we experience the forces of the seen and the unseen naturally brought into play as we participate in the flow of Life. Design’s symbolic nature and tendency to create relationships and associations, supports the Taoist view as we become aware and subject to the ebb and flow of the universe.

Everything is designed. Everything has a meaning. Everything has a purpose. Design is the vehicle by which consciousness can expand and bring meaning to its own awareness. Design is the means, i.e. process, by which consciousness can bring enlightenment to itself. Design is the servant and vehicle of the Tao.

Humanity is primarily mental in character and brings a purpose to Life. Humanity is also emotional in composition, which brings meaning to Life. These unseen energies have a tremendous impact on how we perceive reality. The Hindu term "Kama Manas" best describes the relationship between our thoughts and our emotions. Quite clearly, all thought has an emotional complement as does every emotion a thought supporting it. This duality is inherent, inescapable and fundamental to understanding design’s influence upon human consciousness and how we fit into a cosmic order in the universe, i.e. the Tao.

Meaning and purpose struggle with and sometimes control each other. Similarly our mind struggles with our emotions in knowing the right thing to do can be in conflict with what we feel in our hearts. Likewise, meaning and purpose cannot exist without each other. Our mind cannot function without an emotional counterpart qualifying our each and every thought. In addition, meaning and purpose give of each other in order to nourish each other. The mind feeds our emotions while our emotions willingly offer food for thought.

Over time we may begin to recognize this kinship as mind follows the flow of thought making its transition between the realities of meaning and purpose. All of a sudden what was once meaningful has purpose and what had purpose is now meaningful. Through design meaning and purpose often become the other.

There is always a bit of meaning in purpose and purpose in meaning, which is a relationship demonstrated in each and every form. Meaning and purpose can be subdivided ad infinitum into every form that constitutes the universe. Meaning and purpose are powerful tools that can be used in the analysis and understanding of Design’s close relationship with the Tao.

5. Oullim: The Emerging Paradigm?

Oullim describes the cooperative energy that emerges from the source, i.e. the Tao. Taoism states that all Life’s forces tend to move towards Oullim, i.e. harmony, and that it is based upon the dynamic relationship created between yin and yang. Oullim is always adjusting to the shifting flow of the universe and describes the natural and spontaneous process of balancing, which is always changing.

Everything is always balancing within itself. Balancing is a process that attempts to restore harmony in every instant. Each change creates imbalance in order to bring about an awareness of yet a greater harmony. In design harmony brings about the balance between meaning and purpose thus creating all that can be humanly experienced consciously and subconsciously. Simultaneously, meaning and purpose nourish and support each other towards the realization of Oullim. This is the natural and harmonious action between our thoughts, our emotions and the Tao.

Meaning and purpose are the active participants in an ever-present reciprocity towards greater and greater harmony. The relationship deepens awareness without confining understanding. The result is the development of an intuitive sense for being in the moment and making choices that allow us to integrate our own journey within the constraints of the Tao.

We are mental beings and design is the symbol making process that represents thought. What each symbol means resonates to the frequency that that symbol will vibrate to in others. Forms, images, thoughts and emotions are not replications of experience, but symbolic representations – designs that bring meaning and purpose to the Tao and our relationship to it. The connective leaps between meaning and purpose illustrate the dynamics of design, but are not design itself. Likewise, meaning and purpose are not the balance. Nor is the balance the Oneness of the Tao. Ironically, Oullum, cannot be found through our attempts to attain, explain or discover it. We only become entangled in the metaphoric tendency and limitations of language attempting to describe it.

Everything is contained within the nature of itself. When we respond to the moment, rather than contemplating upon a future response, movement becomes contained. Balance can then be experienced as a "centering stillness". In this manner a natural freedom can be discovered within the constraints of meaning and purpose. The result is a deeper sensitivity to the design in which we participate.

This is the same stillness of mind that Lao Tzu beckons us to experience. He urges us to seek clarity of mind, to be receptive, and to act upon the unseen influences that surround us - influences that appear before our consciousness symbolically by design. Oullum is brought into awareness when we bring fruition to the realization of its freedom, a freedom of imaginative expression experienced through the process of designing.

A paradigm is a set of rules that we choose for the purpose of experiencing "reality". Oullim will become the paradigm of the future when design becomes duly recognized as the primordial facilitator of a conscious universe.

A Known Imagination

To be lifeless is to be static, inert and idle. Life requires both a meaning and a purpose in support of its desire to know. Life/knowing requires a motive, i.e. a designation, which is necessary for the Life process to begin and sustain itself. In the quest to know, this desire will take the form of a projection upon another field of consciousness (universe) and appear in the form of a force (Yang, wave) and a unity (Yin, particle). This desire to know can only expand, learn and sustain itself through experiences made relatively apparent with the constraints of duality. Design affords Life this opportunity through symbolically holographic means.

The desire to know will attract contiguous energies that resonate to the same or similar intention/desire. Energy will immediately begin to congeal, i.e. unify, in prescribed holographic patterns (geometries) designed to experience this commonly shared field of consciousness (universe). Knowledge and its’ sustained growth in awareness/consciousness is made manifest through a process of discovery, i.e. experience. This is part and parcel of a design process that is reliant upon the symbolic strength of the imagination, a unification of awareness’ that are experiencing the parameters of a more expansive field of consciousness in quest of knowing.

Based upon design patterns (archetypes) that permeate and bring order to all levels of energy, while also being shared within constraints we imagine to be our own, consciousness evolves to become an expression of a complimentary unification of awareness’ made “tangible” through the power of the same imagination. Virtual in its essence, the imagination allows for the unification of awareness’ though vibratory means stemming from the substances that occupy the universe we describe as space/time. In this manner design both drives and steers the vehicle we call the imagination.

What we perceive to be consciousness is a mental, emotional and physical projection of ourselves reflected onto and within a holographic “form” created by virtual and quanta substances. This dimension, its forms and its conventions are all made real through the symbolic capacity of our imagination. Only within the imaginary constraints of the observer can any dimension be made known and therefore considered real.

This fundamental principle had first been scientifically revealed as the “observer effect”, all of which can be reinforced through the symbolic power of design and the imagination.

This leads to the question of what and where is our imagination? I am of the persuasion that our capacity to imagine is a product of a field that possesses the symbolic characteristics identified and classified as being human. The paradox surrounding the concept of our imagination as being a figment of this common consciousness leads to the hypothesis that each form is a complimentary unity surrounding a oneness (unit) given symbolic expression and presence in a wide variety of universes and levels of consciousness. These common “reflections” if you will, harbor the design currents of a certain cosmic order whose incompatible position would be considered chaotic.

Within the imagination of each of us is an expression of an all encompassing field of awareness all Life shares and imagines to exist. Each hologram is a unified and symbolic expression of consciousness made manifest in order to experience the unknown. Consciousness is perceived to be “real” merely because we resonate virtually within the dualistic range of a larger vibratory field we imagine being the symbolic expression of a primary Unit.

Emotions, thoughts and forms are the vibratory results of our own intentions, i.e. frequencies that originate outside the parameters of our own vibratory field (constraints) and are absorbed symbolically for the purpose of knowing. The broadest description of what could be considered a conscious universe is but an expression of a greater imagination, the tools of which are made real by design.

Conscious Imagination

Consciousness is a figment of our imagination. All that can be “known” vibrates within the parameters of a self-contained holographic field created by our own imagination in conjunction with a complimentary universe shared with other elements of common frequency. These are virtual energy fields symbolically linked to other quantum fields sharing a common frequency, i.e. conscious field, by design.

These “individual” fields together bring to relative manifestation atoms, molecules, elements, materials, and organisms of assorted complexity and magnitude. The concepts surrounding life’s changes will vibrate about these formations of quantum energy into patterns that support the projections/intentions of a greater conscious field, which itself is a variable dependent upon the scale, magnitude and complexity coherent with an observer’s level of awareness.

Human consciousness is a unified field of our own making that shares its’ energy with other electro/magnetic fields that resonate to similar frequencies unavoidably emitted from a common source, i.e. core, zero point. The single purpose (frequency) of mind is fostered and supported by the emotional quality (frequency) of the imagination. Generally, humanity describes this relationship as being intuitive in character, which is for all intents and purposes the language of the design paradigm.

Science has served its purpose well by pulling aside the veils that concealed a holographic field of virtual reality, quantum awareness and the design paradigm.

Design creates the connection, it is the tool that allows for the perception of what appears to be a singularity of awareness made manifest within the constraints of a macrocosmic field consciousness. Unity is perceived to be Oneness, which unto itself is merely an expression of yet a greater Oneness. The totality is incomprehensible from all perspectives and makes what appears to be “real” that which is separate from dualistic thinking, i.e. the three dimensional universe of space/time. Duality, like any other realm of consciousness, is an integral part of Oneness and should be considered as such.

As quantum theory has described, the observer is an integral part of what is observed, so too is duality an integral part of what is interpreted as a mysterious Oneness, i.e. the source, zero point. Many designed “systems” have attempted to represent this mystery, i.e. the Tao, religion, philosophy, language, art, mathematics, etc. by capturing the imagination of a Oneness by what design can bring to consciousness.

These systems are imagined and conceptual in content, collectively designed to establish a foundation, i.e. center, for knowing that can be anchored within the midst of the unknown for the purpose of creating a dualistic field of awareness necessary for Life and the steady growth of consciousness.

Design is the facilitator. Our imagination allows us to make the connections and is, unto itself, a fundamental component in the quest to make known the unknown by what is symbolically created in a virtual and collective field of holographic consciousness. Design is an exercise of the imagination discovered through the process of creation, a cyclical journey of emergence and revelation within the holographic parameters of duality, i.e. meaning and purpose. What is of true importance surrounds the concept of creativity and all that it entails.

Meaning has a dynamic relationship with both purpose and form, i.e. relative materializations that typically appear as holographic expressions that emerge as the result of the dualistic relationship between correspondences (form/meaning, form/purpose, meaning/purpose)

Imbalance appears as a negative rhythm or frequency leading to incoherence between dualistic fields of holographic expression. Discordance is due to the linkages between holograms, which are designs no longer synchronized within the holistic parameters required of each field/system.

These disorders adversely affect the entire system, which implies that meaning’s challenge, in the form of human emotion, strives for coherence between the body and the mind. For humanity survival in time/space, i.e. form, demonstrates that meaning is key in bringing harmony to experience. Emotions, symbolized by the heart, morphologically illustrate this phenomenon and by design, demonstrate that harmony is its’ natural state. Bottom line: disharmony is inefficient.

Studies have shown that the heart, i.e. the symbol of meaning, has a mind of its own that affects our perception of how the mind/body interacts and interprets the world, ref. kama/manas.

Meaning and purpose function both in parallel and within separate holographic fields, i.e. earlier established frequency patterns created from past experiences. Creativity is a meaningful and purposeful act, an intention made relevant at quantum levels and within the imaginative constraints of the subconscious. The link between meaning and purpose is veiled in the imaginings of a dualistic hologram appearing within the parameters of a three-dimensional space/time universe. The concept of separation is a figment of the imagination yet an integral part of the design function where virtual energy transforms into symbolic references made at the juncture between the conscious and the unconscious.

Design promotes the realization that “consciousness” shares commonly held holograms made apparent through a collective imagination. Carl Jung described these collective imaginings as the archetypes. Bottom line: The concept of duality is holographic in character and made to appear to be real within the constraints of a three dimensional world. Design Metaphysics: The Hendecagon

The eleven-sided polygon is rarely seen in nature. Its shape signifies an entrance or portal into what could been described as a mystical state of mind. Delusionary in content, eleven is also known to be the first number, i.e. the root, in a sequence of numbers, 22, 33, 44, etc. that exist in an ideal world beyond the constraints of form.

Two single fields creating a symbolic gate (1 1) into another realm of consciousness and characterized by a higher frequency; a greater level of awareness and entrance into a new sphere of experiences. A “bridging” position if you will, a portal into another world created by the energy of the hendecagon. The eleven-sided polygon has been interpreted as the link between the conscious and the unconscious thereby opening the gate to greater possibilities.

Intuitively sensitive, the eleven- fold field of consciousness has the potential to become an active channel for further expansion. Comparable with entering any new situation, expectations are high and ambition colossal. At this point consciousness is traversing two distinctly different realms between gateways leading to all that has yet to be experienced/known.

Introspective in character yet universal in context a greater field presents itself. For the most part little is felt during this transition as a deeply symbolic and mysteriously veiled encoding process appears as a fleeting moment of awareness that protrudes under the radar of general observation. New insights that go beyond the mundane become paramount eventually forcing consciousness to listen and inquire as to the location, meaning and purpose that surround its’ Source. At this juncture in the process design’s prowess is beginning to make a subtle impression.

In reference to humanity, design creates the link between the fields of what is considered to be the conscious and the unconscious and can be described as the subconscious.

The subconscious is the playground of design, the field in which every “form” of quantum energy has the potential to be materialized. It is the virtual field of choice, where the imagination can run rampant until belief systems, introspection and internal templates have their affect. Beyond the subjective realm of the imagination, the subconscious is the most intimate and deeply felt. For humanity the subconscious is the “gateway” where intuitive impression meets an objective world.

The concept of time is now seen in a new and different way. Acting within the constraints of a past knowing, a greater experience, i.e. resonance, is actively pursued beyond the parameters of the current holographic field. Any entrance into greater consciousness will require greater emotion and a greater imagination, which are the vehicles designed to be made capable of incorporating this new understanding of “reality” and state of being.

With greater meaning there must also be greater purpose.

Life reverberates at a more significant intensity and magnitude within the constraints of a new field made manifest between the two pillars of the conscious and the unconscious, i.e. the singularity and the collective. Opportunities abound within the constraints of a more harmonious and magnanimous playing field. The ramifications that surround the concept of design and design thinking become more and more apparent as a collective subconscious begins to symbolically decode the meaning and purpose of Life’s messages. Life experiences are now seen in a different “light”.

With the knowledge that the universe is magnanimous, holographic and a virtual field of contextual awareness, consciousness becomes more collective, inclusive and multi-dimensional. Holograms stemming from the imagination become more encompassing, receptive and devoted to a collective growth in awareness.

Focus surrounding the most appropriate forms that surround, describe and transmit this greater awareness becomes more “objectively” apparent than ever. Every desire becomes intensified in the knowledge that the most “appropriate” choices need to be made in order to attain and/or retain balance.

Dedication, trust and commitment to every designed path is necessary in order to experience a greater expansion of consciousness propagated within the constraints of the collective subconscious. However, if such choices are made manifest without reason, i.e. a collective purpose, every imagined ideal will remain within the playful field of fantasy and whim, to lie dormant without a true appreciation, realization or understanding of the need to strive for balance and harmony between meaning and purpose. The result: a design unfulfilled and never known.

The Design Paradox

Humanity exists at the cusp between the paradigms of science and design. Awareness of design is derived from the interaction, interference and integration of virtual energy that when viewed holistically, contributes to the formation of what we believe to be reality. Interestingly enough, we “know this to be true” so much so that we are constantly striving to prove this statement to ourselves by design.

Consciousness is more a feeling, i.e. an impression, and when viewed in its entirety, consciousness is more than just a thought. Consciousness is the product of series of referential recognitions, made within the parameters of our own virtual field specific to what we interpret to be real. Consciousness is an expression of what we believe to be real, a holographic imaging process composed of inputs and outputs sprinkled about concrete points of awareness; positions of stability and locations that harbor a limited perspective, knowledge and understanding of the whole.

The motion generated from an unending assembly and disassembly of virtual energy provides the stage for a holographic concept of oneness that similarly circumscribes the process. Knowingness is the product of a progressive awareness made within the constraints of time, an accumulated affect of many experiences symbolically discovered within the holographic fields of our own making. To expand in consciousness is to accept and respond to the experiences that present themselves to us, i.e. situations along the paths we have chosen, designed and created for ourselves.

Design appears before our awareness in the form of symbols that bring meaning to what we observe and experience.

Design is paradoxical … a holographic experience intrinsic to the observer and the observed, consciousness and the subconscious, order and chaos. Without design there would be no meaning, Life, movement, relevance to nature or purpose of intent. Design affords us the opportunity to witness and experience the vibrations (signals/cosmic pulsations) that emerge symbolically from the abyss of the unknown, i.e. the Source, in the form of impressions that are made apparent within the contextual framework of what we create.

Virtual fields of awareness resonate either positively or negatively, either absorbing and/or rejecting all or part of what affects them. Stimuli from other “sources” affect every designation. Therefore, consciousness appears as a measureless, changing virtual field of our own making, perceived in the form of a hologram that is composed of qualities we perceive to be mental, physical and emotional in character.

Consciousness penetrates all forms of energy due to the holographic nature of the imagination. Because of design we are able to comprehend and interpret these impressions symbolically. Collectively awareness gives rise to a dualistic circumstance perceived to possess the qualities of both the known and the unknown, which are fundamentally holographic in character and are felt to exist. That which is unknown is the Source, the unit. The unknown is an internal constant.

Relative form can only know unity, which is a holographic construct of the unit (Source). Both qualities are symbolic in character and fundamental to understanding design and the process surrounding its’ manifestation.

The universe is a virtual soup of “substances” coagulating and dispersing into relative forms through the thought process we describe as the imagination. Virtual fields of energy permeate each other to varying degrees, i.e. frequencies, and give relative credence to the most appropriate holograms interpreted as being “real” within the contextual constraints of space.

Virtual fields appear in the form of designs that are both relatively objective and subjective. Typically the field of context found to be most appropriate is interpreted as such symbolically and is responded to with a hologram specifically created for the situation at hand.

The perpetual projection of these signals, i.e. frequencies, from both within and outside the fields that give relative form to the cosmos, demonstrates the fact that everything is impermanent. Permanence is an abstraction supported by holograms created merely for the purpose of giving relevance to the concept of time. Life is dependent upon design’s capacity to sustain motion through a wide variety of formations. Design provides consciousness a degree of stability by both categorizing and combining awareness into experiences of importance, e.g. the archetypes.

Without the continuous flow of energy into and out of every virtual field of holographic awareness there would be no foundation for expansion and/or contraction. This is why the creative process is the most vital element responsible for consciousness becoming aware of its self. Design affords consciousness a feedback loop made apparent by what it creates. Creativity is stimulated by desire along with the imagination (thought) to provide Life sustenance through design. By exercising our desires through a positive and creative imagination, humanity broadens its’ conscious horizons.

Together fields of virtual energy have the potential to create an identifiably larger field of awareness by congregating around a common frequency, i.e. unity, to which all forms can resonate.

Within every form is hidden the holographic fragments that together give it sustenance.

The purpose of sharing a common frequency is based upon survival. Frequencies that are projected out and about the surrounding environment, i.e. field of context, influence all fields and formations within its “range of influence”. Survival demands that designed forms resonate within the constraints of their contextual environment and in this fashion, share in the creation of a common focus and awareness. Images, along with their counterparts, thoughts and feelings, remain in flux by changing within the context by which they are felt and perceived.

Certain microcosmic fields of virtual energy are involved in specific functions within every macrocosmic field. The complex nature surrounding human consciousness finds the emergence of an even more complex set of mental and emotional qualities. Form describes the “essence” of a virtual field and design provides the linkage between microcosmic contributors made relevant by the imagination and through holographic collaboration.

The virtual field we describe as the mind, along with its counterpart the emotions (heart), create a personal point of reference used to perceive all holograms viewed within time/space.

Design Metaphysics: The Decagon

Desires fulfilled, situations encountered and experiences learned, the single pulse motivated by desire that originated from within the center of its own field of consciousness is now contained within all that it has learned. That which has been considered “unknown” has become experienced and made “known”.

Situations encountered have been presented to the self, brought forward by desire and “materialized” within the parametric constraints of a self inflicted reality created by the imagination and a holographic realization of the constraints in which it has found its being.

A desire pushed forward by the will to know being-ness. The will to bring into manifestation the desires of a single point of awareness (unity) now returning to its self in the form of a receptacle, i.e. a filled vessel, containing a new and greater understanding of the concept of wholeness (1+0=10) i.e. the one, the monad, now whole while being reduced back to what appears to be an original one (1+10=1); the cyclic adventure and universal process of expansion and contraction returning to its source.

Situations encountered relate back to their point of origin through an expanding and contracting consciousness generated in a symbolic fashion by design. A relative permanence has been substantiated from what was once perceived to be an impermanent field. The design process has given “form” to Life by making manifest a preconceived plan, i.e. a blueprint, filled with intention and desire.

Because of design, our desires have been made “real” through a series of holographic reflections of ourselves. The decagon illustrates that the projections of self symbolize the very wholeness of the source, i.e. the unity, from which they originated and are contained. This is done by imagining all that is, is but a reflection of the true self made transparent within the dualistic constraints of meaning and purpose. In essence, this process has no beginning and no end because other fields of consciousness still await to be explored and experienced.

From this same point of potentiality will emanate yet other series of projections with intentions unknown. Design’s origin remains both nowhere and everywhere ... and where future borders can only be imagined. To know all would be to know the true circumference of a circle, which is knowable only to the Oneness, i.e. the unit, lying beyond the self, i.e. the unity.

The decagon symbolizes a certain degree of attainment, a certain degree of wholeness achieved during its designed journey. Not yet a full circle, the decagon is “rounding off” the design experiences in preparation towards transcendence into another field of consciousness. The blueprint will continue on in a series of cyclic expansions and contractions all leading towards the penetration into yet another "irrational field". The new density will again challenge the imagination to create new goals and objectives in a flawless and perpetual growth in awareness.

Further comments concerning the Decagon:

* Some experiences will seem to be duplicated within the confines of the given blueprint yet are skewed due to the context in which each holographic experience materializes. This natural event is the result of a combination of the many forces surrounding every situation.

* Symmetries are mirrored abstractions of the very holographic reflections that every field naturally creates when striving towards wholeness and harmony. Transformations occur but leave the field unchanged by performing within the context of one situation after another and thereby identifying each experience within the framework of a group, subgroup or set of experiences.

Consciousness: A Hologram of Our Own Making

In a quest to find equilibrium, fields of quantum energy respond by resisting forces that appear to have originated outside the parameters and constraints of their own field of awareness. In essence, a relationship is created born of an intention that originates from a position of unity, the degree of which can be felt and at times measurably understood.

The momentum created in response to this projection is typically greater than the original force, a counter projection intended to restore balance within the contextual constraints of its own field. The process of bringing harmony between energy fields also creates a new “tipping point” between them.

In a three dimensional universe these “individual” forces create the micro fields, i.e. dualities, required for both an expansion and contraction within the context of both meaning and purpose. These impressions are received through quantum receptors linked to the virtual fields of both the brain and the heart in addition to other organs and systems that together give form to the physical body. Impulses in the form of quantum energy are linked to virtual fields we describe as our mind and our emotions. The effect supports the concept we describe as experience, which is a by-product of the resonance created between fields of differing magnitude and substance.These experiences appear symbolically before our consciousness in the form of a hologram.

Every projection is reflected upon a field of virtual substance. Each impression becomes dualistic in nature when viewed in context with its source. Every projection separates upon entrance into a field of energy, disturbing the coherency supporting the original intent thereby creating a hologram that appears to be “in phase”. The intent, along with the product of its desire, becomes illusionary in content and context.

The primary force supporting every human intention is the imagination. The imagination brings energy to every thought and desire by creating a “subjective field of awareness”. The product appears as an image in the field of the mind and/or felt within the field of the heart, which is an impression created within the field of a subjective awareness. Action follows thought and emotion, i.e. Kama/Manas. And the imagination is the primary mover, i.e. the projector, initiating the process.

When intentions enter a field of virtual energy they become points of reference and attraction, images and feelings that reflect the yearnings that stem from a particular origin/unity/source/soul. Dualistic by nature, the microcosmic interpretation of every intention “materializes” within the parameters of the very holographic field it has created for its own expression, a field which is the result of an original intention made with the purpose of knowing.

Each field resonates to the patterns of its own duality, i.e. consciousness, through patterned templates that originate within imaginings of its own parametric field, i.e. consciousness. These patterns are an integral part of every field brought to relative manifestation; likened to the network of neurons that create the waves that interact internally creating the electromagnetic field of consciousness proposed by Johnjoe McFadden’s CEMI theory.

Consciousness can be expanded solely upon a change of energy, i.e. frequency, within the parametric field in which it has its position. Similar to a tuning fork, fields of “like kind” will resonate and be attracted to each other. What is comparatively different is that the vibratory exchange appears at a dissimilar scale, i.e. at the level of an octave as compared to that of a note.

In striving for harmony within the parameters of a holographic field created by the empathic and neuronal frequencies of both the mind and its emotional counterpart, a unique level of awareness comes into play. At this juncture intentions that are projected into the holographic field of one’s own creation has the capacity to perceive the self to be the “source” and therefore aware of the unique “reality” surrounding its own creations. Challenges lie in discovering the neuronal equivalent of the brain with the virtual field surrounding the heart. By design this “heart field” functions in conjunction with the mind to create the duality fundamental to the realization of that which we describe as consciousness.

Design creates the relationship between the source, i.e. the origin of intent, and that which appears as the holographic image of virtual origin. Meaning and purpose are reflected upon and within every hologram made viable through the intentions of its source. Holographic relationships are in constant flux and occur at both macro and micro levels of consciousness. They appear within the context of every multiverse and are altered only by the context in which they are perceived.

Dimensional layers that intertwine: Consciousness is integrated within its self as to promote both an internal and external expansion while maintaining a degree of stability within a particular contextual framework. By design, quantum fields symbolically overlap thereby allowing for the perpetual integration and separation of dimensions with common interest and frequency. Together each field gives relative “substance” to the fabric of the universe and the consciousness’ in support of its’ realization at-large.

Differences of realities: Reality is made of differing constructs and incongruent interpretations based upon contextual references. The dualistic partnership between meaning and purpose vibrate at different frequencies and are typically based upon fields upon which they are projected and to which they resonate. This is why Life is multidimensional and perpetually renewed by change while vibrating within the laws and principles of the Cosmos.

Connects you to the stream: Design is the connector. Design creates the symbolic connections between fields of consciousness through holographic means and interpretation. Within the constraints of each field is a direction or stream of consciousness that appears to “carry” awareness to levels never before experienced. Design symbolically creates the map and presents the options for choices to be made and the directions to be taken based upon the concept of Kama Manas.

Time is not a constant, nor is it an energy, but merely a stabilizing element in a three dimensional field made to demonstrate the concept of “progression” in the form of change. Time isn’t necessary nor a “requirement” for every dimension, since the concept of growth and progress is more a holographic abstraction than a reality. It is here where time is understood for what it actually is, a tool in order to create the parameters necessary for experiencing the “formation” of thoughts, desires and intentions.

For years this blog has had visitors from all over the world. Recently, I discovered a widget that can illustrate this global network of individuals who are sensitive to design, consciousness and the changes that are engulfing our planet today. I hope you enjoy what you may find here and continue to visit.

Just how instrumental design is in the evolutionary consciousness of Gaia is being expressed symbolically every day in a manner that is both commensurate and appropriate for every situation. Metaphoric Templates and Contextual Fields

Information in the form of photons is extracted from a quantum source via the implementation of a metaphoric template (DNA). Before fragmentation or separation can occur, information is extracted from this holographic field and imprinted with a wide variety of comparable templates that originate from within the energy field of a primary source, i.e. a unit. A unity is the product of a unit and acts merely as a frame of reference in order to perpetuate the concept of duality in all known universes.

“The monad according to Pythagoras is the one in terms of the total, or the all. The monad is different therefore, from the unit as there is this same difference as between unity and unit. A unit is one. A unity is one. But the unit is a one separate or dissimilar from other things. A unity is a one, which is a total of all other things in itself. It is from, and in reference to, these templates (patterns) that the drive to seek wholeness, i.e. knowing, can be symbolically identified. Changes in the states of relative substance, i.e. “matter” is the natural by product of this energy conversion.

Expansion, change and self-awareness have no meaning if experienced outside a contextual framework. Context accompanies the concept of realization to the field of energy in which these templates exist, participate and have their influence. In other words, design consciousness has little effect, i.e. resonance, with forms not patterned about common qualities, i.e. frequencies that have been given countenance within the parameters of a quantum field of awareness.

Example:
The molecular world of chemistry clearly describes and measures many elements, i.e. unities, that when observed within the context of space/time, can bring about “material” change. The product of an energy exchange can appear to be meaningful if it is shown to be compatible with other frequencies and thereby will resonate in unison within the constraints of a common field of expression.

In their “natural” state the elements of hydrogen and oxygen create a liquid we perceive as water. In combination each molecule resonates to the other and in turn, manifests into its most appropriate form, which may be a gas, liquid, or solid. The end result is based upon the field, i.e. context, in which they appear and interface. * In essence, each elemental unity is responding to the constraints and qualities of the field, i.e. situation, in which they appear.
* Take into account the realization that each element is the “product” of a virtual field. Virtual fields provide potential in the form of “substance”, which when appropriately designated (structured) affords the concept of consciousness' relative form, i.e. unification.

Space is filled with “substance”, i.e. virtual material contained in an assembly of quantum fields all containing the potential to manifest into relative form based upon the parameters (qualities) inherent to that field.

Virtual particles are patterned about templates of quantum energy projected from a unified core. Each pattern appears to be created with a specific purpose. Each pattern is part of a larger blueprint to which is prescribed by intent (designated) a series of goals and objectives (designations).
These designations appear as a series of symbolic events due of the attributes surrounding the concept of time. Both the template and the process that gives each template its relative expression within the parameters of a holographic field, will always appear in the form of a duality.

Note: Fields of containment are both macro and micro in scale and influence in relationship to a finite observer (unity).

Two hydrogen molecules and one oxygen molecule share quantum energy both in the form of information and “substance”. Their relationship (designation) brings into relative manifestation the substantive qualities that identify them as a “unity” acting in unison while striving within the contextual field in which they exist and have their being. Each unity (element) may appear as a unit (whole) at some level of awareness. However, in this situation each element is in the process of resonating with the other in a perpetual state of “balancing”. ***

Each element is influenced by the other thereby sharing specific qualities that are now (ref. time) a “property” of what has become the relative culmination of the relationship. (This association has corollaries with the idea of being and becoming.) Two identifiably separate and unique templates appear to be one, the result of which is the potential to “materialize” in the form of gas, liquid or a solid.

*** The state of balancing induces movement, which typically describes Life. Energy in all its forms describes and demonstrates a perpetual quest towards wholeness, i.e. balance, both internally and in context. This is exemplified in consciousness’ search for the zero point.

By design energy gives expression to the dance of Life; by design energy exhibits a universal drive towards balance and wholeness. In effect we are conscious merely of the transformations of this unifying force and the “intentions” that appear to originate from within the mysterious confines of a primary source, i.e. unit.

If the context of this relationship changes so too will its design connotations. The binding force that brings unity to the relationship is dependent upon the context in which it exists, e.g. when water turns to ice and steam. Identifiably the exchange of energy has changed due to the context in which the relationships occur.

In a three dimensional universe what is described as heat brings fragmentation and separation while cold brings gradual solidification within the contextual fields in which it occurs. Higher frequencies allow for rejuvenation, exchange, reunification, and transmutation while lower contextual and vibratory frequencies lead to material form, stabilization, structure, matrixing, conditioning and concretization.

Each change allows for rejuvenation at quantum levels of perception. Energy both penetrates and migrates beyond the parameters of the three-dimensional world. Our field of awareness just happens to be “unified” as energy in all its forms passes through our frame of reference. With that being said, design helps illustrate why water is a universal solvent due to its capacity to unite with and/or disassemble other templates, i.e. unities, within the holographic field of space/time. The fact that humanity is composed of 75% to 90% water identifies it as both a receiver and transmitter of energy working in combination with other elements in a perpetual dance and search for balance, wholeness and harmony.

By nature each element (H & O) has the potential to become a gas, liquid or solid. ** Energy in the relative form of an “element” emerges from what has been described as a virtual field of quantum energy. Whether an element “pattern” appears to take relative form (solid) or relative formlessness (gas), is based upon the context in which it exists and within the constraints of the field in which it is observed (3Dspace/time).
** Remember that both Oxygen and Hydrogen have the potential to respond and resonate to other elements within in the family of distinguishable energy structures (points, unities) appearing within and giving relative substance to our field of awareness, i.e. consciousness.

Within the context of three-dimensional space/time, changes are reflected back to within the parameters of the holographic field appearing as the “product” generated from the original intention. This is an example of the design process, which entertains the influx and elimination of frequencies that affect the symbolic transformation of all energy templates projected onto and therefore creating a holographic field. What we describe as the objective world (hologram) creates the necessary format (stage) for this exchange and symbolic expression, which naturally encompasses both a meaning and a purpose, i.e. an intention. Symbols create the links and the pathways required for the exchange.

Note: It must be remembered that this phenomenon occurs within constraints that are inherent to all fields of symbolic expression (duality) … where both consciousness and design become integral expressions of the same intent. Every form gives substance and meaning to an intention. Every impulse is designated to bring a sense of wholeness to fruition. Similarly, upon becoming self-conscious each form acquires the knowledge and achieves the necessary level of awareness that allows it to perceive itself as “being”, and should be interpreted merely as an expression (intention) originating from one’s own concept of oneness as it stems from a symbolically perceived source or unity.

In essence, that which is perceived to be inside (self) is but a holographic imagining of an intention that has been reflected back to its’ self. These projected imaginings are symbolically portrayed and represented as forms, emotions and thoughts. The concept of time is essential in contextualizing this imaging process.

The quest for self-knowledge is universal and will always remains an integral part of the unknown, which is not “out there” but rather “in here”. Design merely affords consciousness the tools necessary to realize and discover this fact for its’ self.

The zero point is a relative term; a mysterious unit that exists beyond knowledge … symbolizing the unknown. Within the field of consciousness the zero point takes the opposite position to self- awareness without which there would be no motion, movement, Life or design. Duality is fundamental in knowing life’s unknowing, which in turn gives reference to the Tao and that which has been described as the zero point.

What we “design” are holographic expressions of self that are meant to discover the mysteries of an unknown that lies both within and outside ourselves.

For the sake of perpetuating the qualities of that which cannot be described, i.e. the unit, the monad, the Tao … each relative form of light/energy has the potential to expand by the blueprint and path it has designed its’ self to follow. The “substances” and “potential” to do so lies within the virtual realm of a quantum consciousness in which the template is imprinted and designed to change over time.

Without question design is fundamental to the universal phenomenon we describe as consciousness.

The Design Hologram: The Source/The Zero Point

Central to every energy field is a “source”, i.e. a zero point, from which designs in the form of vibratory waves, i.e. virtual particles in the form of quanta energy, emerge. These patterns appear to originate from a single source of which nothing can be said or known. The ancients have labeled this ”zero point” the Tao.

All design leads to a source. Likened to all paths leading to the Tao each frequency creates its own portal, which is a unique passageway back to its origin. All emanations that can be known create a path back to a source originating in the unknown. All forms symbolize that which is contained in the zero point. All forms appear within the parameters of a holographic field.

All that can be known has been specifically designed to function in this fashion. Quantum consciousness contains the design/s necessary to lead intentions back to their source, which exists in the unconscious, i.e. the unknown. All that is created has been designated to do so.

The source is impelled to know itself. The source is driven to experience its’ self. It satisfies this intention by projecting qualities of its own being-ness out into an imagined “objective” field outside its’ self. This intention appears as a pulse, i.e. a waveform, that harbors an energy pattern in the form of an image stemming from its zero point. Due to the concept of time these projections will take on the collective form of a spiral in a three dimensional universe.

The zero point, i.e. source, is but a portal between the expansion and contraction of a universe/dimension that runs parallel with a string of other universes each containing its own form of symbolic expression.

This video describes the universality of design as a creative force appearing in the form of a “ linear” projection emerging from the center of a field we describe as a black hole. The origin of this force is invisible (unknown), and at the focal point of a particularly unique field of energy and information. The center appears to be the source of these projections, i.e. a unit, yet is actually a unified force, i.e. a unity, made of galactic substance and magnetic waves (pulsations). The origin of these magnetic forces remain a mystery yet are central to the design of innumerable “microcosmic” field/s they’ve been instrumental in creating due to the turbulence they initiate.

Relative to human consciousness these forces are affectively the archetypes, and are characteristic of those systemic qualities that symbolically exist in the “unconscious” and beyond the veil of form.

These magnetic filaments appear as galactic tentacles emitted out beyond the confines of a galactic field, the core of which is a black hole. From deep within its central core the black hole appears to be projecting energy in the form of spiraling ”bundles” of electro-magnetic waveforms from deep within its central core and affecting the “substance” of space about which are created “microcosmic” fields of energy emanating from the core of its’ linear pulsations. In turn, each electro-magnetic thread becomes the potential “source” of another galaxy to emerge from within the virtual realm of quantum space.

It could be assumed that these “bundles” also create central pathways that alternate into and out of the core of a black hole thereby creating an electro-magnetic force that appears linear in context. These focused bundles of spiraling energy along with their compliment of galactic fields and multidimensional expressions in relative form, are temporary in nature. They articulate the concept of time through holographic formations made recognizable within the parameters of their own individual field/s.

The above video symbolizes the expansion, contraction and relative manifestation of energy emerging from a "zero point". Projections (desire) appearing in the relative form of "strings", i.e. frequencies, meet resistance corresponding to the substance that characterize a field of energy. In response, these linear projections are reflected back to the source and upon interaction with its own energy (holograms) create "individualized" focal points that generate separate but a comparable virtual fields and interferences that harbor corresponding characteristics (patterns/forms). About these new "sources" emerge micro fields of similar quality and intent - relative holographic formations that are characteristic and symbolic of both a subjective and collective unknown ... ad infinitum. ref: Astrology (1.26.2012)

All energy has the quality of both a wave and a particle, i.e. a photon, and can at times become a “measurable” quantity or relative form when affecting other universes. The entire process is holographic in spirit, i.e. essence, and universal in expression. It describes the wholeness of the design function and the importance of projecting the most appropriate intention in all situations. Being holographic in character all forms are but symbolic reflections that sustain the imaginings of a projected intention by design.

There are other “sources” that compose and share in the symbolic expression of every holographic field. Together they compose a collection of complimentary zero points within the quantum field, i.e. matrix, they create. They all share a common source. Collectively these forms inherit a common impulse to experience the known in quest of the unknown.

Know that the quest for wholeness is a universal process whose intention is to bring some type of realization, i.e. reality, to the unknown. Each universe is both holographic and symbolic in character and designed with the intention of bringing meaning and purpose into context. Design is a Map

Mathematics is a symbolic system that appears before our awareness in the form of a numerical language. Mathematics is a tool, like so many other contrivances, that has been created in the quest to expand the field of quantum consciousness.

All symbolic systems, e.g. language, art, science, music, etc. are tools that together create the formulas and equations that simulate motion. Movement is the result of an exchange of energy in the form of light and information. Movement implies change. Symbolic systems reveal the paths that can be taken in order to explore the terrain, along with affording the opportunities to pioneer new experiences by exhibiting the potential for a change of direction in every step along the way.

The design map is a virtual representation and symbolic depiction of the field of consciousness that constitutes your comprehension of reality. Design affords the map as the Tao shows you the way.

Design maps out all the potential paths that could be taken; the map of consciousness is revealed by applying the very tools (systems) created to symbolically explore it. The concepts that surround space, time and consciousness are in themselves the products of a design map confined within the constraints of its own virtual field of awareness. In our case it is a universe we perceive as three dimensional space/time.

In order to make manifest the desires that motivate and/or inspire action, it is imperative that one becomes fluent in one or more of these symbolic systems. Conscious awareness must be sensitive to every sign/symbol before it. Each system creates a compass of symbolic origin. Relative to time, each compass is of greatest influence when observed in the now. Intentions are the prime initiators, emotional in content they encourage the creative yearning towards wholeness.

Design provides the map that represents and brings forward those pathways found to be most favorable to the observer. Each path is riddled with potential. Design allows consciousness and the Tao to be experienced symbolically from an origin in the virtual unknown. Symbolic systems afford consciousness the tools needed to experience self. Quantum in character, design creates the bridge between form and formlessness, harboring the most appropriate transformations necessary for both the penetration into and expansion of consciousness.

Design systems fashion the intentions that inspire action. Design systems require the need for a plan and a strategy to reach a particular designation. Each system must work within its constraints, yet must also harbor the capacity to reach beyond its own symbolic parameters. Upon reaching a certain level of experience there emerges a desire to be exposed to more and more of the map. All paths lead to satisfying a multiversal longing for unity.

Design consciousness doesn’t force anyone to set his or her intentions in one direction or the other. The tools of design merely afford the opportunity to do so. The system/s of preference are those of choice. As a rule the more intense the desire for wholeness the more paths crossed and common destinations complemented.

Design is intimately linked to consciousness’ ability to experience time/space

Each individual field of consciousness is characterized by its own set of inclinations and/or tendencies. Each field of quantum consciousness has the potential to either directly or indirectly influence the condition of another. Within the persuasions of what may first appear to be a cacophony of discordant frequencies, the tools of design create the situations and afford the opportunities for a virtual field of consciousness to be made ripe for creativity

When applied to the “sciences” theories can often appear to be hindered by the tools used to create the argument. Meaning and purpose, which typically describe the qualities of any design map, can appear compromised due to the inherent constraints within the system being applied. The problem lies not with any particular system, but rather with the desires and intentions that direct and influence its application.

All systems have limits. The system used to arrive at an intended destination is one of choice. Mathematics like art, music and language is no exception. Discord may sometimes appear to be harsh and polarizing as chaos is compared to order. Yet what appears to be discordant and chaotic could also be another universe with its own set of symbols used to enhance yet another field of quantum consciousness. All maps have the "potential" to grow in magnitude and awareness, which are the by products of experience. Change is required in order to adapt and sustain awareness. Symbols change. Consciousness expands and contracts. Design creates the map and the Tao naturally shows the way.

All symbolic systems have the potential to describe their part of the map no matter what their magnitude. All systems possess the potential of becoming successful devices for consciousness if properly implemented and interpreted within its' constraints. Each discovery of a new field of consciousness, i.e. a new region on the map, typically requires the creation of a new set of tools, i.e. symbolic systems, found to be appropriate for the challenge. Design characteristically stands at the edge of the unknown. Knowledge is veiled by the limitations of the observer and the constraints inherent in the system implemented.

Design constraints are dependent upon the symbolic systems used and more importantly, how they are applied. One doesn’t use a screwdriver to drive a nail.

Design creates the maps required to create the links between universes (multiverses) contained with the constraints of a quantum/holographic field we perceive and observe as consciousness.

String theory attempts to unify both the observable and the unobservable events appearing within the field of our own universe/consciousness. Electro-magnetic, gravity, weak and strong nuclear forces, light energy, all generate an array of frequencies that are in perpetual flux and integral to investigations into the theory of multiverses. Design continues to offer consciousness a course of action to both discover and/or rediscover self. The challenges lie in discovering what new tools, or combination of the same, are now the most appropriate in expanding human awareness. (edited 8.19.2011)

Design, the Akashic Field, Virtual Reality and the Archetypes

Environmental forces originating from both within and outside the parameters of a field of virtual energy has the potential to create within its constraints, a volumetric field of awareness contained within a particular range of influence. A microcosmic point of awareness expands and contracts along innumerable axis in an alliance of energies that coincide with comparable frequencies that have been generated from within the context of a virtual field of their own origin.

The zero-point that finds its origin from within the relative “center” of this microcosmic field is attracted to a source and/or sources that symbolize, in essence, its self. Likes attract and by design symbolically exchange energy from a virtual context into a substantive one and back again.

String theory, when appearing within the constraints of three-dimensional time/space, brings to scientific awareness the existence of a virtual field that is in perpetual flux and filled with potential. It is typically viewed and categorized as either an expression of fractal order or unleashed chaos.

This is an illustration of a virtual field of awareness harboring the potential for an emergence of microcosmic elements into and out of substance ... and if the conditions deem appropriate, into a wide variety of substantive formations. The connective tissue that transfers this energy to such a patterned arrangementsmade within a contextual field of virtual energy we label as consciousness is design.

This same field is the “source” for patterned wavelengths, i.e. axial forces we qualify as being mental, emotional and physical in character. Within this virtual field energy, photons are being both pushed and pulled by influences that originate both from within and beyond the limitations of the perceiver.

In the beginning was the word, which for all intents and purposes is a vibratory frequency cast out from within the relative “center” of a virtual field to which other elements, i.e. energy in the forms of waves and particles, resonate and are attracted and/or repulsed. Design consciousness allows for the arrangement and the permutations that emerge from this “original wave” to which substances of like kind can gravitate and if appropriate, emerge into relative manifestation. These major influences of patterned energy have been labeled as the archetypes.

Design consciousness gives form to relative substance by patterning like-kind formations of its own condition, i.e. character, within the virtual constraints that qualify its own field of influence and awareness.

Emotional Impetus: The Dominant Force Behind Design Consciousness

Quantum energy fields are cohesive in nature, stable in character, and yet conducive to change. Fragmentation occurs within the parameters of their influence when affected directly or indirectly by “outside” forces. These external quantum bundles of energy/information vibrate at incompatible and non-concurrent frequencies in relationship to the patterned stability expressed by the affected field and thereby appear incongruous to the field at-large causing internal disturbances and change.

In regards to the holographic field described as containing the qualities of a human-like consciousness, the forces described as Kama are emotional in character, quality and content. Kama is the unifying force that brings harmony to any superficial appearance of a separation between elements expressed within the parametric constraints of an identifiable quantum field of awareness. In essence, the qualities surrounding the concept of Kama has the capacity to swell beyond the perceived parameters of any quantum field. Humanity describes this potentially all encompassing integrating force as love.

Kama also helps construct the outline that predicates the expansion, resonance and growth of consciousness by generating symbolic references and metaphors between apparent contradictions. The relationship between meaning and purpose frame the creative field between opposites that are symbolically filled and encompassed within the coalescing guidance of Kama.

The struggles between antagonistic elements are typically cloaked with emotion. Emotions create the context in which forms and circumstances characteristically develop and dictate our interpretation and response to most situations. Contextual thinking implies a type of understanding that includes a holistic approach towards experiencing every situation. Thoughts, feelings and reflections need to originate from a perspective of contextual awareness. This principle is scientifically supported by the observer effect and quantum entanglement theory where energy and information has been described to be inter-connected between multiple universes, i.e. multiverses.

Reason is fundamentally a visceral process that emerges from within the influences of an emotionally oriented quantum field, a domain where intuition flavors the intellectual process. Here the mind saturates the field and is very capable of garnishing the thought that “reality” can be known, measured and understood simply by implementing the powers of the intellect alone.

"The heart and the brain maintain a continuous two-way dialogue, each influencing the others functioning. Although it is not well known, the heart sends far more information to the brain than the brain sends to the heart, and the signals the heart sends to the brain can influence perception, emotional processing and higher cognitive functions. The heart also generates the strongest rhythmic electromagnetic field in the body and thus can be measured in the brain waves of people around us."

The visceral drive to grow and expand within the symbolic constraints of a quantum field of awareness' tenders the concept surrounding the idea of “experience” and thereby helps frame its context. Experience documents a design process that is contained within the symbolic constraints of a holographic field, a province of expression that becomes apparent both in relative form and formlessness.

Desire gives direction and affords the opportunity for consciousness to develop and expand. Sensitivity to the symbolic realms of design nurtures and stimulates the quantum field. The desire to make connections and discover relationships between elements is a rudimentary force and precursor to “creativity”.

Creativity is typically based upon the drive to expand within the unique contextual field of the observer, and whose individualized interpretations surround the concepts of meaning and purpose contribute to the field by affecting one’s desires within the context of a common symbolic language.

Quantum fields appear in the form of holograms, i.e. symbolic realms that naturally form the most appropriate relationships essential for expansion and change. Design consciousness appears as the primary motivator in the effort towards greater expansion and development, a gesture that is made within the context of every "situation" appearing within the constraints of a quantum field of potentiality.

The purpose of Manas, i.e. the mind, is to bring into symbolic context the principles of separation and fragmentation. The intellect brings purpose to consciousness and essentially rejuvenates the quantum field at-large. Purpose brings order to chaos and together with meaning, creates a referential field for the purpose of stability, positioning, and the transfer of symbolic energy; all appropriately measured and required for elaboration and further enlargement and development. Together meaning (Kama) and purpose (Manas) create the basic field, i.e. situation, in which a variety of potential formations of consciousness can emerge and gestate.

Design, Strings and Information Fields

Energy vibrates at an assortment of magnitudes and formations. Energy adapts to each situation in reference to the context in which information finds itself within a field called the multiverse. Human awareness responds to energy patterns that appear recognizable at levels described within the parameters of its own constraints as being mental, emotional and physical in character and expression. Because of design humanity has the capacity to respond, transmit information with a number of universes through symbolic means.

In a three-dimensional universe time puts energy into a context that corresponds to the boundaries that form a point of observation, i.e. a standing wave. In turn, this situation also allows for “substance” to actively participate within the constraints of both larger and smaller fields of influence.

Each field consist of a series of fluctuating templates of information within a cacophony of frequencies that either resonate and/or reflect energy in the form of patterns that are mental, emotional and physical in quality and symbolic character. Within the constraints of these octaves, new harmonies are both created and destroyed in the attempt to bring accord to the process.

Options are typically reflected within and around the formation of a single zero point, i.e. standing wave, and are typically made manifest within the constraints of the field in which it has its’ positioning.

Energy, i.e. information, therefore appears to be “virtual” in character only because it cannot be readily sensed within the mental, emotional and physical constraints of a particular field. These fluctuations may occur along any of the major axis within the field. These string-like projections encircle and interact in a spiraling fashion and contribute to the vitality, i.e. life, of a holographic and fractal field we perceive to be real.

The result of this process is the expansion and contraction of a field consciousness that is both projected and interpreted at holographic levels. In reference to design, this situation describes a symbiotic circumstance where the forces of meaning, purpose and spirit are united and energized about a zero point. Energy that is in active transformation within the context and parameters of a particular field of information, also gives a symbolic presence and positioning to both a microcosmic and macrocosmic expression of consciousness.

All energy is a reflection of the circumstances brought about by the absorption and projection of information. Energy in all its diversification is dependent upon design to formulate information in a universe that shares a common consciousness.

Each field of consciousness is encoded within a quantum-like boundary that references itself to itself as a set of relative “points”, i.e. significant locations of awareness within a parametric field of reference that is in perpetual flux. For all intents and purposes, from a human perspective forces within a three-dimensional time/space field could be qualified into three fundamental projections; the physical, the mental and the emotional. The projection often described as being “spiritual” in character is a quality of introspection that appears focused upon more holistic constructs within the multiverse thereby supplying the fodder for philosophy and religion.

Like mental and emotional energy, spiritual forces cannot be entirely described, measured or understood, but in reference to design consciousness each relative "point" may or may not appear to be purposeful and/or meaningful within the parameters of each contextual field.

All forms of awareness are symbolic projections entertained with the constraints of a qualified field of consciousness, i.e. expressions of one’s own character made apparent within the contextual interpretations of meaning and purpose. These forms of awareness appear as experiences made conscionable via the process of symbolic projection and interpretation.

This is a premise upon which the model of design is substantiated. The process is in itself symbolic of consciousness’ ability to bring into relative formation that which categorically allows for further expansion and inclusion. Consciousness is a symbolic enterprise that relies upon design’s capacity to project and manipulate virtual “substance” into its most relative and appropriate form/s.

Design: A Comparative Model

This is the premise upon which any one model of design consciousness can be substantiated. The process is in itself symbolic of consciousness’ ability to bring into relative formation those critical elements that allow for a continuous and gradual expansion of awareness. Consciousness is an enterprise that relies on design’s capacity to give symbolic formation to the many aspects of universal energy.

Design is expressed within the constraints of a virtual field we perceive as consciousness through a series of focal regions within its boundaries. It is within the universe of three dimensional space and linear time that humanity must discover its meaning and purpose through design. Human consciousness however, is but one of a multitude of focal regions of awareness that together give essence and quality to our common universe.

The role of every form of awareness is to be both a symbolic receiver and transmitter of a single pointed source that makes itself apparent via light, energy and information. In turn, these focal regions of expression create and give credence to those parameters necessary for change and expansion.

Each focal region of consciousness has its “being” within the virtual constraints of a greater field of awareness. Here light, energy and information is being interpreted, absorbed and projected during the transition from a virtual field towards a more corporeal state that appears to be driven to materialize its desires. During the course of this symbolic adventure constraints are learned, creative efforts sustained and awareness absorbed in an effort to expand consciousness.

Surrounding every point of concentrated energy spiraling about its core and appearing as the result of the interaction of opposing particles found in a virtual reality, consciousness will appear as a “qualified” field of its own making. Relative to human consciousness, the mind and the emotions are made tangible by the materializations of both the brain and the heart. They each represent opposing forces that when vibrating in resonance gives relative form to the qualities that each coherent system symbolizes.

Teology and Design

There are some who argue that design is of little importance, while others are convinced that design is relevant based the opinion that everything has a cause and an effect. However, I believe that a full understanding of the design function remains veiled, ill defined and unexplored. Duality is the position by which we generally perceive the world while ignorant of the meaning and purpose that brings manifestation to phenomenon we label design and its intimate relationship with both life and consciousness.

A typical point of view about design focuses on the position that there must be a purpose supporting it. In other words design to some degree, should be readily apparent. This argument suggests that design is primarily an objective exercise, even though the concept of objectivity eventually falls victim to an assorted array of subjective interpretation.

For the most part subjectivity runs opposite to the scientific paradigm as it is generally presented to contemporary societies today. Yet what appears to be objective in character has been challenged by science’s own investigations into the quantum, i.e. participatory universe, anthropic principle. The revelation that the experimenter is an integral part of scientific investigation brings forward the realization that even the most quantified methodology must include, and in some extreme cases foster, elements that could never be measured. Being unaware of the meaning that actually engrosses its own achievements science has unconsciously entered the portal of design.

The concept of subjectivity demonstrates that design exists within the context of purpose and that objectivity appears to function in this case as a sounding board. With science theoretically admitting that subjectivity remains an ever-present vanguard as to how we describe reality, it has unceremoniously acknowledged the importance of design. There is another element in the interpretation and understanding of the design phenomenon that includes this interpretive dependency upon the objective world, while simultaneously embracing our quest within the context of purpose, and that is the concept of meaning.

Meaning has always proven itself a difficult concept to understand when attempting to discover and/or understand its origins. We habitually exercise and emphasize the perception that the world is composed solely of opposites, e.g. hot/cold, light/dark, good/bad. Meaning seems to find its way into this dichotomy, primarily because our emotions are a primary contributor to how we “objectively” perceive things.

Meaning seems to have no opposition to describe it other than purpose. Individual interpretations of meaning generally imply that the world is viewed in a heartfelt fashion. We all believe ourselves capable of privately understanding the concept of meaning due to emotions that are felt and shared with others. Purpose may remain somewhat constant and unchangeable, but meaning is typically in constant flux. Even meaninglessness possesses its own kind of emotion that can influence the interpretation of the world of objectivity.

Every experience seems to have a presence in the form of both a meaning and a purpose; as an observer rather than a perceiver who is actively participanting in the drama of the moment. I know I exist because I have the capacity to realize it … now. I know I have a meaning. I know I have a purpose. Life is merely the process, i.e. the sounding board described as experience that reveals these intimate “observations” to one self through meaning.

Intelligence has a problem when attempting to explain phenomena through reason alone. Similarly, meaning cannot be explained merely in terms of emotion and feelings. Purpose like meaning permeates consciousness, yet is instrumental in recognizing reality within the constraints of its own defined matrix thereby possessing the capacity to reach beyond the illusionary power of the mind.

Meaning is an integral ingredient of the intuition. Meaning adds fragrance to the workings of the mind in its challenge to bring balance and direction to three- dimensional space and linear time. Intuition crosses borders, penetrates unknown realms of existence and is an essential element in the toolbox of the observer. To experience meaning is to tap into the power of the intuition. In performing this task the intuition symbolically embraces all referential aspects of being and reality in a holistic fashion.

Associations are made apparent through design by affording consciousness the tools to make the most appropriate connections between phenomena; simultaneously allowing us the opportunity to actively engage in the “wholeness” of the event through meaningful relationships.

In essence, design is dependent upon how we interpret events that are configured to describe what is meaningfully perceived as reality. In true spirit, design remains arbitrary. Design consciousness has no meaning other than the meaning we prescribe to it. Design contextually patterns itself between events, creating both the meaningful and purposeful threads that weave the images that tell the story we interpret as reality.

The relationships between meaning and purpose are always changing in addition to the context in which the event appears and is made conscionable. The only relative constant * is the “observer” who actively witnesses the phenomenon either as a single event or series of events occurring in respect to a holistic background. Consciousness gives us the ability to package these experiences and make them real if we choose to do so.

In order to know the meaning in support of a design, it is imperative that we look beyond the cluster of events that surround an experience or situation. One must investigate the whole field of experiences associated with any situation, including comparable events that separate themselves contextually.

A greater understanding of design lies in the subjective inquiry into the unseen. We can only achieve this perspective if we understand the mode by which we perceive the universe, including the motives behind our points of view. By exercising a higher order of consciousness we can begin to learn and understand the realities beyond knowing. This is a transcendental experience that brings forward how consciousness interprets the patterns that form and penetrate our lives through the veil of illusion.

The purpose behind design, and our inherent ability as humans to symbolically interpret our world, is not about outward appearances but rather the conscious expansion of awareness so as to better understand the motives supporting manifestation, especially in relationship to what we ourselves create; a more conscionable self that is going to ultimately evaluate and review our creations using the same design principles we’ve called upon to give expression to our own individual points of view. What are the qualities that we have willingly clothed yet given expression? What are the garments we have created to support ourselves in our quest for knowledge?

We are here to design, create and give expression to that which allows the unknown to be known, i.e. made manifest in a three dimensional universe. We are here to design not for ourselves but for others so as to bring into fruition the loftiest of motives that support not only our own being, but also to a consciousness that shares and offers relative substance for life. That which is given form, i.e. materialized, is made known for only an instant. That which is made manifest is symbolic in character, a design that strives to bring attention to that which appears unknown. To be made aware of the unknown through the creative expressions of the known is the challenge that perpetually faces the design function.

The design process is the process of change. Life’s experiences afford the opportunity to modify and restructure the way we interact with the universe. What is learned and experienced is designed to be apparent in order to be absorbed into consciousness in new and unique fashion through creativity. When the ramifications of change make its most appropriate inroads into consciousness the results of this knowledge is absorbed and exercised through design thinking. Creative thought demands an observation from every perspective, which in essence is a deliberate exercise that is the stimulus for change. This is fundamental to the design process.

Design requires one to be an observer. A designer must become detached from form, while being simultaneously aware and highly sensitive to its power, its meaning and its purpose. Through design, intentions can become apparent, observed and eventually revealed. To remain the observer is a difficult challenge, due primarily to the emotional tendency to interpret the universe solely in an individualize manner. Reality both objectively and subjectively projects the self in a symbolic fashion, which is accomplished in a manner that naturally vibrates about a pre-determined and patterned expression of consciousness via the archetypes.

The relationship between the observer and what is being observed is fundamentally a subjective and therefore an emotional experience. Emotions are driven by desire and interpretation and are dependent upon the mode chosen to observe the situation. Position and perspective remain a matter of choice based upon these intentions. Through an appropriate use of knowledge, i.e. to know yourself and your true intention, can similarly allow you to make quantum leaps toward the meaning and purpose surrounding your own consciousness. Based upon choice this potential for change is an occasion that remains optional through opportunities afforded by design.

Subjective and Objective Meaning

It’s impossible to deny the fact that each of us has a personal knowledge of what meaning means to us individually. We know what we mean when we personally interpret the subjective events that occur and appear in our lives. And it’s from this same position that we attempt to provide a rationale that will account for the meaning of things. Individually we know what we mean in a way that no one else could ever fully understand, and it’s from this perspective that we create the dialogue within ourselves in relation and in reference to the “outside” world. The permanence that seems to support this internal discussion describes our determination to bring meaning into our lives, whether it appears rational to others or not. We each possesses a very powerful and intimate kind of “knowing” that relentlessly interprets and simultaneously colors our perspective on life and reality. We are each designed accordingly.

In addition to observing one’s own self there will always be that which is externally perceived and objectively measured. Such observations can only be comprehended symbolically, for only through interpretive measures can consciousness overcome the constraints inherent to both form and formlessness. Design is the force that through the active use of symbols that are both meaningful and purposeful holds and links all of consciousness together. The relationship, i.e. dialogue, between the internal observer and external perceiver is prolific in meaning and is constantly redirecting one’s perspective of consciousness in an ever changing now.

For something to be meaningful it must be significant. For something to be meaningful it must be important, have value and purpose. Meaning gives relevance to an ever-changing observer whose focus and discourse between the observed and the observer is an exercise in intimacy with one self.

Aristotle was the first to give a meaning to the term telos, which is a belief that all events are somehow brought together for a purpose. In Greek the term telos means “end” One of the interpretations for an ending is a goal to which an activity is directed and/or the purpose an event. In a sense we cannot really take into account any event, whether it is an object or not, without taking into consideration both its purpose and its meaning.

There aren’t any causes to substantiate the concepts surrounding life, rather telos stresses the purposes for life in somewhat of a logical fashion. This purpose, like meaning, first appears as an urge or desire, yet remains somewhat unclear, i.e. in the state of a vague goal or designation. Telos relies on our imagination to believe that there is a purpose in support of every action, but remains unclear when put into the context of a specific or final goal. Like meaning, telos adds value to each and every experience by perceiving each of them to have a purpose.

* Even the concept of an “observer” is dominated by change and is used in this case to bring relative stability to the argument.

Aristotle formulated the first and original meaning of TELO “that for the sake of which”.

Telos means aim, end, or fulfillment. It is the opposite of cause. Causality asks, “Who started it?” Teleology asks “What’s the point?” “What’s the purpose?” It conceives events are aimed towards a goal and gives logic to life.

Telos (or purpose) doesn’t usually appear as a clearly formed goal, but more like a troubling, unclear urge coupled with a sense of unquestionable importance. It give s limited, specific reason for the sake of which we perform our actions.

Teleology causes a person to imagine every action to be purposeful, but does not state an overriding purpose to action in general, that would be finalism. The idea of telos gives value to what happens by regarding each occurrence as having purpose and gives events value.

Existential: refers to 1. Existence itself, specifically the human mode of being, 2. The meaning of existence, 3. The striving to find a concrete meaning in personal existence, i.e. the will to meaning.

Fatalism says, “It just doesn’t matter”. ”Heroism says, “… integrate those shadows and put disaster behind you and get on with your life. It has a purpose and place to move to. Teleological finalism says, “it all has a hidden purpose and belongs to your growth.”

Frankl suggests that we can discover our own telos, i.e. meaning in life by: 1. Creating a work or doing a deed, a way of accomplishment or achievement that should be quite obvious, 2. By experiencing something or encountering someone like truth, beauty, goodness, experiencing nature, culture or the uniqness of another human being by loving them. 3. By the attitude we take toward unavoidable suffering, compassion. When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.

According to Seligman, purpose is tied directly to organized and non-random actions. The creation of telos, meaning, purpose or goals could be considered thoughts. Thoughts are things; ideas projected into form, partaking in the nature of the thinker and occupy space in mental fields.

Baar says every conscious event is shaped by a number of enduring unconscious systems he calls “mental contexts” that shape conscious experience, access and control without itself becoming conscious (what do I know?) Contexts are unconscious systems that evoke and shape conscious experience. It is the ground against which new events are defined.

Inspire the will to meaning and a telos to which a person can be responsible, recognize an obligation, which involves decision-making, which identifies to what we are responsible. Accept limitations. You cannot be responsible for everything.

To investigate the teleology of something in archeology is to try and figure our the various chains of means and ends that dictate or must have dictated its particular material and formal properties (what its made out of, what shape these materials have been given and how these are assembled.

Political scientists, sociologists, economists, psychologists, historians, prefer to talk about the function of the elements they isolate rather than the purposes of them; a functional analysis rather than a teleological explanation. They are more interested in the role of things rather than the purposes for which they were designed. Looking at what can legitimately be assigned to a designer as opposed to things that are the product of a complex history of circumstances. (note how the change in perspective concerning how we view artifacts can change the intention of the designer)

Between the 16th and 17th century teleological explanations were banished from the precincts of science except human artifacts. Once considered “divine science” it has now changed. Copernicus’ view of the universe as compared to Ptolemy included what he hypothesized what God would have built ( more simple universe and not as complex as Ptolemy’s) He used a teleological explanation.

Newton excluded all considerations of teleology from his explanation of the universe. Don’t need to know how come these scientific principles are true in order to know that they are true. Explanations of the metaphysical sort more natural phenomenon add nothing to our understanding of their behavior.

Hypotheses are human constructs, tools for accomplishing particular purposes. Instruments are human artifacts, fashioned to accomplish particular aims.

The two are connected the second being derived from the first. The Romans used the term finis, which had the same interpretation. Teleological explanation specifies the purpose or end of some made object is designed to serve. Aristotelian scholastic philosophy called a final cause. Must be taken into account when explaining an artifact.

This naturally includes the intention of the maker the specification of telos is essential to the concepts because we can give no adequate account without taking into consideration what the artifact is for. A mere description is doomed to fail.

Teleological explanation refers to two distinct things, 1. Elucidating why something has the (material and formal) properties it exhibits by pointing to the purposes it is designed to serve, or 2. Inferring the purposes something serves by examining the properties it exhibits.

Selective Permeability

Each individualized level of systemic awareness has a degree of control over frequencies that are allowed to impact its field of consciousness, thereby affecting both its internal matrix along with the network in which it has its being. Energy that participates in the structure of any virtual field of potentiality can, to a certain degree, enter the veiled membranaceous boundary of another field of consciousness, the manner by which is dependent upon the level of resonance between quantum wavelengths shared between fields. Whether these relationships are active or passive is dependent upon the situation in which these associations occur.

The transfer of energy from a virtual state to “reality” appears as a symbolic transmission that is entirely dependent upon the circumstance being encountered. Some situations appear to be measurable, i.e. quantifiable and tangible, others are not. For example, a major catastrophe can be measured in a number of symbolic ways, some of which are physical in character while others are emotional and mental in quality. These affects can be both felt and measured within the constraints of each interpretation, an understanding that depends upon the symbolic relationship between the transmitter and its receiver.

The focus of concentration has a major influence upon the transfer of energy, i.e. information. Internal (subjective) or external (objective) perspectives vary and therefore have a variety of influences upon the vitality of the information transferred and shared between fields of consciousness. The melding of energy between fields, virtual or otherwise, will naturally become dependent upon the qualities of intensity and absorption, i.e. attentiveness and/or sensitivity between fields. This in turn, affects the level of awareness made through symbolic means.

Little effort appears necessary to make energy conscionable as typically reflected in the every day activities we tend to define as reality. This is because our own consciousness is an integral part of a greater system of consciousness we symbolically share with other systems. In order to attain such a complex level of awareness, a certain degree of balance is necessary solely in order to adapt to every situation instantaneously.

This is accomplished by actively seeking the most appropriate accommodations for change within the constraints of three-dimensional time/space. These “potentialities’ are symbolically presented to our consciousness both in our waking and sleeping states. Consciousness responds with the purpose of retaining a balance within the context of these experiences, i.e. situations; experiences that have been brought to awareness both consciously and subconsciously.

What appears to be “virtual” remains within the subconscious sphere of our awareness. What appears to be “real” is a symbolic representation of the same.

This balancing act can be characterized as being both active and passive. Consciousness appears to be the product of a multitude of awareness’ of differing character, i.e. frequency. Fields of consciousness are connected and in all cases interwoven into other fields of consciousness that share common threads of awareness. These links are symbolically created by design. The relationship some people have with animals, plants or groups people are examples of this symbolic and sometimes intimate connection.

Basically the intensity measured as the transfer of quantum energy from one level of consciousness to another is fundamentally an assessment of its wavelength, i.e. frequency, measured symbolically at mental, physical and emotional levels of awareness. You are that to which you resonate.

On Being Self Conscious

Consciousness is a state of dynamic cognition, a network of meaningful and purposeful holographic experiences made real through the focus and intentions of an observer, i.e. a symbolic system of intrinsic relationships made apparent through resonance and an inherent drive/desire for harmony and balance. Some of these realizations become tangible and take form others do not.

One experience leads to another thereby perpetuating a series of potentially symbolic impressions and associations all driven towards a quest for balance. Each experience creates its own internal and external network of meaningful events, awareness’ that are revealed within the contextual environment in which the concept of being-ness is found. Organisms appear to have a unique “awareness of being” that is more descriptive in tone and definition than any vague definition of consciousness.

Being-ness is an awareness that has an identifiable presence within the systemic parameters of what could be considered a state of consciousness, i.e. a particular focus that sets it apart from other levels of awareness. Humanity sometimes perceives this focal point as the soul, a point of being-ness that cannot be fully understood only theoretically interpreted within the constraints of the observer. Consciousness has being-ness when perceived from within the context of its holographic origins as it emerges for the purpose of making manifest the realizations of its own knowing. Evolution rests upon the realization that this awareness, i.e. being-ness, actually rests beyond the constraints of any one consciousness yet is part of a Oneness that appears to have both holographic and quantum-like characteristics.

Parametric Boundaries and the Need for Systemic Constraints

Consciousness will find haven within the parameters of its own being. Consciousness must function within the constraints of its own parameters, i.e. awareness, solely to experience and realize an expansion of the same. All of this is a natural byproduct of consciousness’ quest for harmony within the holographic field it experiences as being. Imbalance is a natural invitation to chaos, a disorder within the parameters of a type of membranaceous awareness that, in order to survive, must adapt to the perpetually changing situations that appear both internally (subjectively) and externally (objectively) before consciousness.

Perpetual periods of fragmentation and boundary are natural states common to consciousness’ need to experience self-awareness. Major points of energy exchange are naturally selected (archetypes) and dependent upon the environment/situation encountered. Only certain frequencies are afforded the option to be internally absorbed and therefore find shelter within the parameters of a singular consciousness, this is due to contextual restrictions at the time of emergence from its particular field of origin. Borders are imperative as long as awareness remains somewhat pervious to the holographic fields/energies that surround, create and symbolically represent it.

The interpretation that our mind is located solely in our brain is simply invalid. The unique qualities of imprecision, variation, diversity and selection are paramount to the functioning of the mind and fundamental to creative thought. Experiences that first may appear incomprehensible are not always meaningless when we spend time to reflect. There always remains a particular focus, a selective attention and an embedded search for meaning in our subjective interpretation of the world. Experiences are weighed differently throughout life, yet seem to share a common yearning to bring meaning and a value to self. This natural capacity to categorize experiences, both subjectively and objectively, is imprinted in our mind largely for the sake of knowing.

From a subjective point of view, knowledge appears to have been an assemblage of opinions, facts, knowledge and understanding. Through experience, the mind discovers itself as the focal point of knowing. The creations of mind, along with modifications honed from experience, give allegiance to an internal dynamic we perceive as self. Connections and new patterns are added and simultaneously integrated into the mind as long as knowledge is allowed to enrich and nourish the expansion. Mind’s design, i.e. its’ focal point of knowing, is the field in which the "knowing self" plays, develops, learns and grows.

The mind instinctually brings together all experiences made to be known and felt ... both seen and unseen. These perceptions are symbolic in origin and character, together actively fashioning what could be considered a fundamental awareness, or collection of awarenesses. These relationships need not be causal or related to an objective world; rather mind’s knowing will always take precedence and remain paramount throughout this subjective journey.

It is the dynamic created by meaning that induces the mind to attach a value to every experience. Simultaneously the mind is predisposed in believing that there must be a purpose in support of the experience. The emotions are so strong that the mind is persuaded into apportioning a purpose to all experiences, even though the mind has the power and capacity to oversee the symbolic aberrations. It is why the mind by nature, seeks out the appropriate belief system/s to objectively rectify its self to itself. Purpose can bring a certain closure to meaning if experiences and the values they contain, can be appropriately confined within the symbolic cloisters of a belief system.

Consciousness

What is of interest when discussing the relevance and importance of design and design thinking is the suggestion that the accumulations of all these “experiences” must in some manner, validate what is perceived as consciousness. Yet consciousness is something we cannot describe directly other than through a limited and subjective framework. Consciousness is something that can be known, observed and realized while still remaining an allusive mystery when trying to describe it.

Noted scholar and Bernard J. Baars, theorizes that both conscious and unconscious events can only be based upon our own experiences and those of others. By design all experiences are symbolically tainted with mental and emotional perspectives, which when processed have the potential to contain a variety of "realities" that stretch from the mundane to the bizarre. Again the self, i.e. the knowing center, the observer, of these events will typically establish the context from which these experiences are interpreted. This knowing center is the source of an inner dialogue, an apparent duality in support of knowing.

Experiences provide information to the observer self in the form of a series of symbolic relationships. In this fashion experiences are designed. These relationships have the potential to reach beyond the constraints of matter, mind and emotions thereby seamlessly entering other realms of awareness.

All mental and emotional contexts appear to be non-conscious in character, yet can be induced and/or provoked by conscious events. Both conscious and non-conscious events are symbolically interwoven through meaning and purpose to create a “stream of consciousness”. In essence, experiences are designed events. Consciousness by nature must be considered a multi-dimensional experience.

The means by which the mind along with its emotional complement, universally communicates and transforms energy and information. Symbols are the vehicles, the language and designs of consciousness. Symbols construct, correct and control the flexibility and individuality of awareness that when placed in harmony, partakes in the creation of consciousness. Symbols can potentially make the connections with a design at is Source. Similarly, symbols are the outpourings from that Source. They are the reflections of a Oneness of consciousness. They represent its designs made manifest, i.e. the elements that perpetually categorize and re-categorize a reality made conscionable through change. Symbols construct inexact memories and abstractions that create the opportunities for both the expansion and creation of consciousness itself.

Design and the Akashic Field

Contained within every quantum field are self-organizing forces that give relative measure and validity to a countless number of interactions that when in harmony, provide unlimited opportunities for the formation of light/energy. This photonic light/energy/information field contains all the probabilities that engulf an infinite array of possibilities, i.e. potentialities, of contact with countless other “light forces” within the realm of its influence.

The convergence of these forces appear as photons, i.e. energy in the form of light waves of a certain frequency and magnitude that appear to emerge from a quantum vacuum. This “materialization” process allows light to both enter and exit the three-dimensional constraints of time/space. In essence, light energy in the form of photons, typically creates the holographic illusions that give form to our realities whether they are mental, physical, emotional and/or spiritual in context.

Light’s holographic projections, reflections and diffractions appear and disappear before our consciousness through designs that symbolize the field of its’ virtual resource.
Design is the process that transfers light/energy/information from one conscious state to another by taking on the most appropriate holographic formation relative to the situation at hand.

When brought to awareness, form has the potential of bringing “light” a particular reality, i.e. a state of being-ness/consciousness that may, or may not be tangible or apparent. Every form is a reflection of the same unique qualities that are emblematic of the virtual field/s of their origin, which is their Source

By design, energy in the form of light replicates its own particular reality by emitting frequencies (light waves) that characterize its own virtual consciousness throughout both the known and unknown universe. Considered the source, not all light/energy has the capacity to reaches the darkness, yet has the potential to give relative form to its’ shadows. Nor will all light/energy materialize into relative holographic form, e.g. mental, ethereal, emotional and physical expressions of a virtual consciousness.

Duality exists at all levels and is part and parcel to those qualities that cannot be reached or imprinted upon with the patterns of a particular light/energy formation. Some forms will always be left in the dark. However, when observed at quantum levels both probability and potentiality still harbor the opportunities that typically strike when synchronistic events can be made conscionable and apparent.

Design affords humanity the opportunity to choose from a holographic field viewed from within the constructs of a resourceful mind. This opportunity presents itself to humanity as an aspect of what might be known as the imagination, i.e. experiences that assist in a subjective journey (path) towards expansion. The transition of “being-ness” from one frequency to another is the result of a cyclic and spiraling pathway designed for an expansion and contraction of consciousness.

Organisms appear to experience an “individualized” aspect of what could generally be described as a desire to bring-to-life that which appears as frequencies, i.e. patterns and vibrations, that both selectively and collectively resonate to the virtual frequencies that originate from a source. Form therefore becomes the accumulative result of a system of patterned exchanges between component systems and subsystems that give relative vibratory substance to an individualized hologram of specific quantum potentiality. These patterns/formations possess certain unique nuances when given appropriate and relative expression in response to common universal, e.g. archetypal, qualities in the form of frequencies typically shared by dissimilar organism; male, female, fear, attraction, motherhood, physical traits and appearances, quest for food and/or survival, etc.

Archetypal in source and astrologically tuned to respond, these frequencies share and exhibit similar qualities by both attracting and retaining holistic tendencies in a perpetual quest for balance while simultaneously experiencing the constraints of a particular environment found to be the most appropriate for the situation at the moment. Physical forms are holographic in content and emerge from a quantum field of light/energy, i. e. a virtual consciousness. Individualized, i.e. subjective, holographic formations are made manifest through intent.

Meanings and purposes are symbolically connected to thoughts designed to become cognizant through conscious and subconscious experiences. The connection between imaginings is a vibratory one, a relationship that cannot be entirely measured. These imaginings are inherently hidden yet wildly apparent and can be purposely made perceptible and observable through resonance and intent.

Each symbol/design is intrinsic to the perceiver and/or observer. Each event resonates to the frequency that characterizes it. This perpetual dance between meaning (emotions) and purpose (mind) occurs within the quantum field we perceive to be consciousness. Symbol making, perception, and interpretation are qualities inherent to consciousness and its capacity to imagine and by intent, make what is an illusion appear to be real.

The archetypes both describe and contain major patterns of light/energy from which symbolic experiences typically appear and disappear. These forces characterize the universe by qualifying its domain by formulating frequencies that are conducive to symbolizing its intentions through waves of light/energy. Each qualifying force carries with it the potential of finding a relative expression of itself brought to light symbolically through a virtual and self-generated world of illusion.

From one set of symbols, i.e. the archetypes, other forces emerge, evolve and in time eventually become manifest, thereby formulating analogous expressions in relative substance that give meaning and purpose to those connections between experiences. Similarly, the holographic formations that bring consciousness to these subsets must likewise coalesce in order to bring relevance to any extension of experiences. These threads of patterned formation extend though out every holographic field as designs that are linked together by and through common symbolic origins.

These formations of energy first link subsets of quantum expression through forces of attraction and then further progress into holographic formations that manifest within the constraints of each conscious field made apparent through awareness.

A
This is a holographic and convoluted system of androgynous light/energy that is self-sustaining and immeasurable. It could be considered a source depending upon the context in which it is observed. Being quantum and holographic in origin, as are all systems that give meaning and purpose to the universe, it is expressed, brought to measure and typically defined and described by the designs it has virtually imagined, felt and/or brought to fruition. Viewed at mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, quantum and/or metaphysical levels such a systemic consciousness of this magnitude could easily be interpreted as the Source of a conscious universe. This describes the interchange of light energy at quantum levels being shared at both systemic and sub systemic levels. This interchange is contained within a greater field of quantum potential so it, like all other materializations in relative substance, is in constant flux and is dependent upon the changing environment.

C
A system in the process of manifestation being influenced by an archetypal force intent on making its influence/pattern felt. Still in the light of imagining, the formation is yet to be determined and where potentiality remains untapped due to the inherent drive to adapt to the situation presenting itself.

D
A duality in relative form partaking in the active exchange of opposites that are adapting to the quantum field/s it shares with other systems in relative manifestation, i.e. time/space. For humanity this is a holographic infested experience occurring at mental, emotional, physical and spiritual levels of awareness.

Design becomes the apparent dynamic and symbolic vehicle created between opposites and made for the purpose of connecting awareness’ in preparation for potential expansion. Its virtual world is a product of a quantum knowing, united by archetypal threads that interpenetrate and symbolically manifest its own “individualized” perception of reality. These same archetypes also create the pathways that return and tie together the concepts of wholeness that are perceived both microcosmically and macrocosmically.

E
This is a system of influence having its effect upon another quantum field that it partners with to create a consciousness at a grander scale. Typically occurring at subconscious levels, these influences may or may not find fruition in three-dimensional time/space and therefore full awareness, a circumstance that is solely dependent upon the situation, i.e. its’ context. The virtual realm of quantum consciousness is perpetually in flux, therefore creating a field of potentiality conducive to the generation of a holographic reality that is substantiated and formulated by light/energy.

F
Imaginings within a field of consciousness that are gathering about a major quantum (archetypal) thrust that appear to be both revealing and/or qualifying its own state of origin through patterns (frequencies) that are driven symbolically by design. Imaginings seem to attach, fragment and at times appear whole, as assorted universes are affected and substances gather about this fundamental principle. Creativity and the generation of associative ideas are the result of this force. New quantum formations appear as virtual imaginings focused about bringing light/energy to a situation through holographic manifestations that can survive the challenges of a particular time and/or space.

G
The model represents a relatively microcosmic influence in reference to the field in which this particular system of light/energy has found its place and/or state of being. While sharing the imaginings and evolving as one of many holograms that find themselves in constant flux within the constraints of a particular realm or state of consciousness, this system is making an identifiable difference in the state of its greater consciousness. In essence, it is consciousness giving back to itself through its’ own awareness (feedback). This sharing of light/energy (love) appears as the formation of a “lifetime” of holotropic experiences made manifest solely to engage a greater consciousness from a different position/level of awareness, i.e. frequency.

The Virtual Emergence of the Holographic Self

One purpose of design is to encourage and help propagate the balance within the dualistic constraints of the field we describe as mind, i.e. where the qualities of both the rational intellect and that of the intuition harmonize and align with their most appropriately symbolic expressions of meaning and purpose. This alignment similarly corresponds, communicates and gives relative substance to the intimate relationship between the ego and its perception of self.

A unified field of consciousness penetrates both concepts of mind along with our contemporary interpretations and definitions of self and ego. One realm seems harnessed within the constraints of a three-dimensional time/space duality, and the other appears as an amorphous subjective presence harbored within the cloaks of a virtual quantum field of potentiality, i.e. a unified energy field.

Often mistakenly perceived as a singularity, the concept of “self” typically appears as a subjective expression brought to awareness through the intentions of a perceiver. The self is a holographic focal point within a quantum field we recognize as consciousness. The ability to concentrate is a quality of the mind and primary contributor to its capacity to imagine, i.e. create quantum formations that are purposely driven by intention and supported by desire, i.e. emotion.

Within the interpreted parameters of an energy field, relative formations appearing to be substantive are morphing and responding to changes within the environment. These changes appear to be catalysts within the context of every situation encountered. Circumstances will sometimes fuse and appear contextual in content and form. This quality of the mind compliments the unique characteristics associated with a holographic field viewed through the lens of a perceiver and/or observer. Struggles emerge in proportion to the imbalances brought to fruition by the materialization of these holographic fields of conscious expression.

Both the intuition and the intellect move in a direction towards an individualized concept of self as it is portrayed within a virtual field of holographic expression. This consciousness is typically shared with the imaginings of others essences of “like kind”, whose embodiment creates the boundaries between universes, i.e. micro systems of awareness that qualify the virtual imaginings inherent within every identifiable field of conscious energy.

This is all part and parcel of a design process substantiated by desire in quest for unity and wholeness, a goal that can be achieved by bringing meaning and purpose to every experience.

Imbalances are both the cause and result of change and characteristic of all energy fields including Life itself. Duality is made manifest within the realm of a quantum realization of linear time and three-dimensional space. It is here, within the heart-felt constraints of a virtual reality where duality prevails and change can be physically materialized in its most appropriate form.

In the unending quest for balance, change is the common vehicle by which the relationship between the ego and the self is nurtured and brought to fruition. The self symbolically strives to experience both form and relative substance through metaphor and design.

The design “process” is a journey towards Oneness and all that it implies, an ad-venture stemming from within the frontier of a time/space field of holographic awareness. It is a journey of expansion and contraction, synthesis and fragmentation, love and fear.

When a particular kind of “wholeness” is met and/or experienced, another challenge will typically follow in a constant trek towards knowing self in a mindful way. The self creates a number of strategies towards greater synthesis through a series of challenging design situations that will manifest in relative form. These strategies appear as confrontations that can both sustain and improve upon the awareness of one’s perception of self while made within the constraints of a virtual field of its own creation.

A unified field of virtual consciousness is much like the virtual worlds created and made available today through computer programming and technology. A specific environment is typically posted by the imagination of a creator solely to bring into awareness those individualized “imaginings” intent on bringing meaning and purpose to a parallel reality of particular interest. These imaginings typically appear as a series of fascinating challenges created for assorted purposes and are usually taken from a perspective that is both engaging and observational.

Each universe is somewhat self-sustaining yet remain microcosmically dependent in relation to the whole. Each realm is dependent upon other parallel universes for survival. Without creative input and an overseeing consciousness, every microcosmic universe participating within the constraints of this holographic field harbors the potential to eventually perish. Hence, the reason for dependency upon change to appear as a natural by-product within the virtual realities of every microcosmic exchange in awareness, whether it is made conscionable or not.

Each of us participates in a shared macro consciousness that appears within the constraints of a holographic micro universe, a consensual yet differentiated awareness that has been created from the virtual field of each participant. We are the creators of a virtual consciousness and holographic universe of symbolic proportions of our own making.

In a similar fashion, three-dimensional time and space is a symbolic “playing field” in which a number of design strategies towards a subjective growth in awareness can take place. Yes, life from this point of view can be compared to an imaginary and holographic diversion with reality being a relative imagining in contrast to the universe of your own making. Paradoxically none of it appears to be real yet it is. Each universe will appear to be real from the perspective of the perceiver or observer, yet not from the perspective of the creator who harbors the concept of self within the symbolic situations made manifest within the constraints of its own manufacture.

Situations encountered every day are fundamentally symbolic in character; meaningful, purposeful and “created” primarily in order to expand consciousness through awareness. Through a series of discreet challenges, a greater understanding of the rules of the game become learned and if absorbed, eventually understood. Rules in support of certain principles are eventually made evident over linear time, thereby leading to a greater understanding of the meaning and purpose behind every challenge. Where better to understand the holistic ramifications and importance in support of Life than to play the game in a virtual world and holographic micro universe of your own making?

One cannot however, dismiss the physicality of pain and suffering, which are primary attributes associated to the corporeal matrix of a dualistic three-dimension framework. Yet like the mind and its emotional counterparts, all is not what it appears to be. All forms of energy are but symbolic tools used to craft the most appropriate challenges and situations fundamental to both an individualized and collective expansion in awareness. These become the self-made instruments around which every virtually holographic concert is orchestrated.

Observer Effect

As change appears before awareness it is design’s function to both register and implement the balancing actions of the mind between those of meaning (intuition) and purpose (intellect). In other words, consciousness will naturally expand within the confines of its own field of awareness in the process of becoming the “observer” where one’s self becomes witness to its own consciousness.

Design affords the opportunity to become the observer by symbolically hosting the capability to comprehend and perceive the relationship between form and formlessness through mind and emotion, i.e. circumstances that contribute to the relative “substance” of consciousness via experience.

What we perceive as reality is data in the form of light that is typically filtered as information by our senses, mind and emotions, i.e. perceivable knowledge that often brings pain and suffering to our awareness due to misinterpretations caused by imbalance in discernment and insight, whereas an active “separation” from the duality of three-dimensional time and space can reveal a wealth of design potentialities harbored within the unified field of the quantum. This process is typical of the drive behind what is described as the imagination.

A position of neutrality is of primary importance when typical decision-making opportunities emerge within the constraints of a design situation. While taking the position of an “observer”, predisposed impressions, assumptions, opinions and in some cases facts, have the potential to be viewed more holistically and act as catalysts in the recognition of new relationships and opportunities. Such a stance is imperative when responding to changes that have the potential to redefine the concepts that surround and support the current perception of reality.

Design creates the links and thereby becomes the conduit, by which Life can exercise the opportunity to experience its own consciousness, i.e. the self, which in essence is the unified field of its own being.

Balancing Reality

Energy attracts like energy. Energy connects with energy through design. Energy appearing in relative form is joined together holistically, yet appears distinctly different symbolically. Consciousness manifests in the form of energy therefore giving relative substance to an image of reality. Energy is both absorbed and rejected in a deliberate quest for balance within the constraints of a holographic paradigm.

Meaning (emotions) is affected by belief systems and intent. Purpose is affected by sensory data. When the mind, i.e. consciousness, discovers a balance between the intellect and the intuition a higher understanding of the meaning and purpose of reality is attained, even though it may be for just a fleeting moment.

The intuition and the intellect are equal participants in the “act of balancing”. Together both meaning (intuition) and purpose (intellect) create design’s perceptual framework within the parameters of consciousness both at microcosmic and macrocosmic levels.

A holistic understanding of the quantum qualities of consciousness demands greater awareness, while simultaneously seeking out a greater meaning and purpose in support of the imaginings of reality.

Singularity and the Quantum Field of Consciousness

Our intellect and our intuition together give relative form to every belief system. All belief systems have purposeful and meaningful components that appear to be in constant conflict. The intellect, which is a faculty of reasoning and objective thought, relishes the drive to understand, whereas the intuition gravitates towards what appears to be more instinctual and emotional.

Experience tells us that both perspectives overlap and are in constant flux during each fleeting moment, bringing to our attention the relationship between the divergent qualities of the “mind” and our innate ability to adapt to every situation we encounter. Both qualities appear to be the ingredients of a quantum field of consciousness we perceive to be primarily mental in character, and for the most part interpreted within the constraints of one single point of view. The stark reality is that many other constituents beyond those we describe as human, share in the expression surrounding the concept of consciousness, e.g. plants, animals, etc.

Fundamentally the relationship between the intellect and the intuition is resolved through design and its capacity to create the links and associations between meaning (intuition) and purpose (intellect) by symbolic means. This is a universal quality.

Design permeates the quantum field created by the intellect and the intuition. Each emerge as focal points within a sea of quantum consciousness possessing the potentiality of initiating a series of patterned gestures that have symbolic meaning and purpose in relation to a particular intent. Design penetrates and naturally links these two perspectives, i.e. frequencies, into what could be holistically interpreted as representing the “mind” while simultaneously interacting within the constraints of a greater field of consciousness, i.e. environment. Likened to two stones being tossed into a pond in close proximity to each other, interferences are created with peaks and troughs symbolically entering both relative form and formlessness.

Electro-magnetic fields have similar properties that are integral participants in the quantum environment we call time/space. They sometimes appear to be directed towards purposes unknown, i.e. macro fields of quantum light symbolically identifiable at micro levels of awareness by design. Within the context of these fields, that which appears to “materialize” and take form are the results of the compilations supporting a particular intention, i.e. stones making there presence felt within a quantum field of consciousness.

Yet the vital step to break away from the constraints of time and space demands that a multidimensional perspective replace any singular point of view relative to the quantum field, a viewpoint that we as a species, currently harbor. Only through design awareness can a multidimensional perspective concerned with expanding beyond the quantum field of our current mind set be possible. This is done through intention.

The intellect and intuition are the “mental” components, i.e. tools, of a universe contained within the constraints of a time/space continuum. Time appears linear and space three-dimensional. At quantum levels the concept of singularity is non-existent without understanding that all is One, timeless and part of yet a greater system/s of consciousness. In other words, the concept of singularity alone (ego) has little meaning or purpose when viewed outside of the context of the time/space, which limits potentiality and inhibits expansion.

How does the immaterial world of thought and emotion interfere with the physical world? ... by design: the symbolic process that links patterns of quantum energy through information and light.

Design creates the symbolic associations that unite singularities into systems that are fundamental to understanding and functioning within an expanding field of quantum consciousness. Design consciousness is about systems, associations, growth and the vitality of an awareness that surrounds and interpenetrates the collective.

Awareness and its Relationship to Consciousness

When considering the relationship between awareness and consciousness, a true understanding of awareness should be likened to observing a school of fish that collectively swim together and appear to be closely engaged for what appears to be a common purpose. Consider each fish an individual component that is representative of a greater consciousness, i.e. a greater field; an individualized “awareness” that moves in a collective manner and acts in coordination with those of like kind as they move within a changing environment.

Each fish appears to be closely synchronized with the others while simultaneously responding to the proximate environment in which they have their being. Isn’t this much like how our own mind and emotions work? We respond to the environment in which we exist, are dependent upon past patterns of response, i.e. belief systems, and are typically hard-wired to adapt to those situations we encounter as change. Each “experience” has the potential to create an additional pattern of behavior within a quantum template commonly shared by each fish in kind of a communal "Observer Effect". This process typifies an ever-expanding adventure that supports, negates or adds to earlier imprinted connotations, perceptions, actions and responses.

The capacity inherent in awareness’ purpose to generate, coordinate and substantiate these patterns is also elemental in differentiating itself from the larger quantum field in which it participates, i.e. consciousness. In other words, the ability to isolate and identify a single awareness in relationship to the field at-large, which includes the many associative patterns it experiences during the course of its own being, allows the larger macro field in which it exists to expand exponentially if the conditions allow and support it.

Awareness like consciousness is exercised and known at quantum levels. At some point during the process of expansion, and when group awareness is measured collectively, consciousness will reach a “tipping point”, i.e. a measure that constitutes the field to be, for lack of a better term, of a greater mind. Does a school of fish act as if they are of one mind and therefore possess and give expression to one consciousness? Not all fish and not at all times.

A school of fish symbolically illustrates a cooperative and communal balance between components that move in relative harmony while relating and responding to the environment, i.e. situation, in which they exist. Doesn’t this metaphor also describe a kind of collective “intelligence” given definitive and sometimes physical expression in time/space? Therefore, isn’t intelligence merely the result of a collective awareness made conscionable at systemic levels by the focused actions of a field of consciousness?

In constant flux and in search for balance within the quantum field of its own existence, awareness is forever responding to the environment in which it realizes its being.

Constraints are naturally imbedded in the equation of design consciousness. They appear symbolically as frequencies that vibrate at levels perceived to be physical, mental, and emotional in quality. The purpose: to participate, expand and experience the macro field of a quantum consciousness through microcosmic means. In other words, to experience the collective, i.e. Oneness, not only for growth in individual awareness, but also for the sake of survival when encountering new and unknown environments.

In this fashion awareness is the very creator of its own collective consciousness, its own Source. Collectively awareness is consciousness and consciousness is the collective summation of its own awareness'. All is and will always be One. Each component of consciousness possesses an “awareness” of systemic proportions, an individualized knowing in constant flux, seeking balance and harmony while perpetually responding to the environment in which it has its being.

A Holographic Universe Created by Design/Symbolic Resonance

Consciousness has its’ presence in a multi-dimensional series of universes that are holographically unified through and by experience. In essence, consciousness partakes and gives relative form to a holographic system of micro universes that are linked by symbolic resonance, aka design. Design gives significance to consciousness by making the most appropriate associations that bring an experience into context. Together these experiences give what appears to be “substance”, to the flow of Life.

Notes of comparable frequency vibrate and harmonize within the constraints of each individual universe, i.e. octave. The resonance created between octaves (universes) is controlled and directed by the focus we bring to our awareness through will and desire, i.e. wavicle. In this manner, we can experience all that the world offers merely by following our own passion.

By living in the moment we become uniquely prepared to expand in consciousness solely by succumbing to the awareness surrounding the holographic universe (octave) in which we interact, resonate and have our being. Humanity must function within the constraints of a physical, mental, emotional and quantum system of micro universes that together create a macro universe, i.e. environment, in which choices are made.

Design allows consciousness to both step-up and step-down in reference to the “micro” universes that surround and give substance to our experiences. For example, a biologist investigates the lives of living organisms, the physicist the edges of the quantum (micro) and an astronomer the edges of the universe (macro).

Design allows for the simple realization of the concept of a holographic universe at all levels, which also means that because of symbolic resonance we are everywhere and part of everything, i.e. part and parcel of all that is in both the micro and macro universe. (Over the millennium astrological investigations by numerous cultures and civilizations have “mapped” these universes by qualifying our human experiences within the constraints of our solar system.)

Universe A has a presence within a greater field, i.e. Source. Universe B exists somewhat within the parameters of universe A. Universe C remains outside the vibratory field of universe. Universe C remains unaware of universe A’s existence, yet is indirectly connected by design with other intermediary fields. All fields are connected in some manner due to their existence in a mutual field viewed to be the Source.

A wide variety of designs create the connections between vibratory fields of consciousness, i.e. experiences that interpenetrate each other at a multitude of levels, i.e. physical, mental, emotional, and quantum. Design gives life to each holographic perspective through symbolic resonance and harmony between experiences.

A Harmonic Magnetism

For humanity separation from its greater field of consciousness, i.e. its Source, first becomes realized in the form of an emotion; an unfamiliar and isolated feeling that cannot be fully explained or understood. At quantum levels, this change may be interpreted as a change in frequency, or rather more precisely as a fluctuation in vibration.

From this quantum field, that which could be considered infinite has the potential to become finite, the invisible visible and the intangible tangible. During this journey of separation, influences within a greater field of Source still remain. Therefore, what appears to have been “separated” hasn’t, consciousness is still being macrocosmically imprinted by influences that surround and engulf its own microcosmic awareness during the journey towards separation.

During the transition from the infinite to the finite, the concepts of time, space and duality become issues of relevance, especially in terms of cyclical patterns at macrocosmic levels, i.e. quantum fields of origin must also adhere the principles expressed in the universe. It is during this cycle that time becomes linear and space three-dimensional. In this manner individual consciousness, experiencing its own micro-cycle of awareness has the opportunity to re-absorb itself into the characteristics and qualities of its own field of origin.

Through a kind of harmonic magnetism brought about by designs that will continue to appear to be hidden, a microcosmic formation of awareness in three dimensional time and space will inevitably return back to its origin. A shared note and single frequency vibrating within an incomprehensible array of octaves, creates an exponential number of potential doorways for both relative spirit and matter to enter and retreat; the simple by product of a field of awareness in perpetual flux.

An Internal Symbolic Matrix

A microcosmic “element” will sometimes appear to separate itself from its macrocosmic “source”, but in actuality it never really does. It has been scientifically proven that we exist in a vibratory universe. In essence, all elements are linked together either at a micro or macro level as is consciousness similarly linked through awareness. These relationships are made symbolically by design, some of which are apparent and some of which are veiled. Design, in its function as a symbolic catalyst, creates and sustains these vibrant and connective pathways, as “energy” searches for the corridors of least resistance.

Expansion is based upon the connective emergence of a particular relationship that has been made apparent, i.e. conscionable. This relationship is symbolic in character; either made apparent for all to respond (objective) or remain veiled (subjective) within the constraints of a particular field of awareness. Expansion will also have an effect upon the ever-present macrocosmic field of consciousness in which it exists and participates.

Awareness approaches this apex within the constraints of its own “symbolic matrix”. Design creates the symbolic connections that give meaning and purpose to this matrix thereby allowing for a growth in awareness both at a micro and macro level of consciousness.

All systems of consciousness possess an internal matrix that appears as a field of symbolic awareness’ made manifest within the constraints of its own field of influence. Relationships, i.e. connections, are made through symbolic resonance, which are vibratory in nature and either raised or lowered in frequency dependent upon the situation. (The concepts of micro and macro fields of awareness are merely constraints that have been imposed for the sake of understanding.)

Because of the resonating factor inherent to design, a microcosmic field can internally “identify’ with itself (ego/soul) while similarly empathizing with a larger field of consciousness in which it shares certain qualities. These common threads have the potential to make manifest their own specific qualities, qualities that can be shared and exercised at other levels of frequency. Not all fields will resonate to the same “qualities”, i.e. awareness’, thereby creating what appears to be separateness between fields. As inferred at the beginning of this blog, this perspective is illusionary.

The Birthing of Consciousness

The separation from “Oneness” (macro-consciousness) can only be depicted as a “tearing away” if you will, of the matrix where shreds of what was once experienced as a sense of permanence have been frayed and replaced with a individualized understanding of the same. Singularity remains, however it is now being realized at individual levels, i.e. fields of awareness, connected solely by the symbolic relationships and experiences it once had to a sense, i.e. feeling, of wholeness. In design meaning plays a great part in this sense of separation and eventual return to wholeness, an issue that is basic to the expansion of consciousness at levels of individuation.

Upon separation a new duality (yin/yang) immediately enters the situation, severing from the larger field in an attempt to replace any past wholeness into an identifiably new, unique, individualized, yet autonomous field, i.e. matrix, of its own. The tearing apart of consciousness into newly created symbolic formations, is necessary in order for larger fields of awareness to expand beyond their constraints. This is the purpose behind creativity, which is the inherent desire to give expression, and purposely create, a separation and expansion of awareness. Greater awareness within the context of this new relationship demands that each “offspring” find its own internal balance within the parameters of the situations it encounters.

In order to experience and bring forth into manifestation the concept of balance, each new matrix is symbolically guided by its own designs, both subjectively and objectively. Energy patterns are made apparent via select experiences made conscionable (mentally, emotionally, physically) within the context in which these experiences appear.

In order to fully accommodate an expansion of consciousness through awareness requires the capacity and ability to connect, i.e. resonate, internally within the constraints of self, and externally beyond the parameters of a single-pointed consciousness. Duality, i.e. the yin/yang offers both meaning and purpose in this regard; an experiential and contextual framework that creates the necessary and appropriate opportunities for progress towards an expansion of consciousness.

Due to design’s symbolic function in the overall scheme of things, connections to larger fields of awareness will always permeate at a level of potentiality. In this fashion design possesses the same qualities of a quantum particle, where at times connections are made apparent for all to perceive and experience while at other times the same “experience” is solely absorbed and referred to subjectively. Design is neutral in this regard and acts merely the facilitator. In the most advanced situations and where the design function is most successful relating to consciousness is when both the subjective and objective relevance of the moment strikes equally as hard within the matrix of the observer.

The individualized perception of an internal matrix of awareness’ made in reference to an external counter part, is what we perceive as consciousness. This relationship, valid or invalid, is made real to our own awareness by design … and so are its illusions!

Design tenders the symbolic paths that are necessary to bring into relative manifestation the desire to return to wholeness. Concurrently, this is the same way energy is made conscionable. The transition of awareness (focus) through symbolic corridors brings on change, movement and life’s apprehensions.

Symbolic Transformation within Quantum Fields

An Individualized Collective

That which supplants you and is at your core, i.e. your inner source of being, naturally alters and transforms itself due to the forces of both internal and external change. These changing fluctuations can alter consciousness and can, within the constraints of a three dimensional universe, similarly affect the process of manifestation.

That which grounds you is forever being affected by macrocosmic fields in the form of energy emerging from quantum levels, influences that systemically distinguish themselves from each other from a position of non-measurable origin symbolically presented and consensually accepted, by perception and/or by pre-conceived definition. This energy may be viewed within the constraints of magnetic, electrical, emotional, mental, solar, etc. magnitudes that appear before consciousness in a manner that can, without question, affect our experiences.

As any conscious field begins to weaken and/or falter, more dominant fields emerge at quantum levels in an effort to fill-in the gaps of a changing awareness. As we already know nature abhors a vacuum. So in order to meet the challenges of survival, consciousness takes-on an adaptive “quality” of its own in a manner that appropriately retains a certain degree of balance within the parameters of its own awareness. This process appears as a “design”; a symbolic, diversified and sometimes confusing expression of awareness made manifest in a three-dimensional world of form. This phenomenon contributes to the variety of interpretations supporting the meaning and purpose of every form created within the constraints of our own consciousness.

In essence a form is an orchestration of symbolic expression that naturally changes in regard to the context in which it is perceived.

The weaker and less significant a field becomes the larger the opportunity for those of greater awareness to “fill-in” the gaps. This alteration appears as an internal change triggered from within the microcosmic confines of a particular field. By filling in these vacuums each macro field makes room for the internalization of its own expansion, while striving to achieve balance within its own constraints. These energies appear to emerge from quantum levels and exist solely in order to be configured and commandeered in a manner that is appropriate to the situation at hand. This symbolizes the design process and emphasizes the importance surrounding one's intentions.

Considered a matter of scale, it is the larger field that typically creates the opportunities for change. It must be understood in design that each macro field is likewise a microcosmic contributor to an even greater field with all being connected. As the microcosmic field adapts to these macrocosmic changes, so does the internal frequencies of the macro field that brings forth these creative compositions before its own awareness.

Life energies are directed and therefore symbolically designed within the confines of the experiences, expertise and qualities of the parametric field that created them. These changes represent life’s intentions.

Design effectively functions at an inter-dimensional level, between the realm of the quantum and what we perceive as the three dimensional world. In other words, design functions at a level beyond the senses. Design is energy in the form of a symbol. Design is instrumental in knowing and experiencing consciousness.

DNA creates an inter-dimensional quantum field of consciousness that surrounds us. To some this field has been described as the mind. All the parts that create DNA work together compiling all that you know and/or experience. DNA is connected to the brain by design, which appears in the form of an inter-dimensional resonance that has the capacity to direct and focus its energy from a quantum status into a linear one and visa-versa.

These thumbnail sketches are an attempt to describe and model the contextual relationship between design, DNA and these inter-dimensional quantum fields. Each circle represents a DNA field. The two rings describe the inter-dimensional field as being both subjective (internal) and objective (external). The lines between the rings describe the symbolic pathways (designs) typical of every inter-dimensional DNA field. These pathways are the symbols that allow only certain frequencies to penetrate and/or be given expression between one field and another.

When a particular frequency is found appropriate, parts of the each field will resonate to the other. Similarly, each DNA field will categorically absorb the event within its own inter-dimensional parameters.

A multitude of designs emerge from every quantum field, yet not all will find expression. Not all symbols resonate with all fields, either microcosmically or macrocosmically. Not all symbols are capable of creating the frequencies necessary for an expansion between fields of DNA. Design is key in both opening and closing doors important to the expansion of consciousness.

It must be remembered that the expansion of consciousness is a two way street and fundamental for both microcosmic and macrocosmic fields of DNA to share in awareness.

Power of Design: Space

400.01 Space is a field of great potentiality. Fundamentally space is featureless, unpredictable and consists of what we perceive to be light vibrating at frequencies both within and beyond the parameters of human perception. Considered to be a "spiritual" resource by some, light becomes substance when space is brought into focus by any intention driven by a desire (human terminology) towards its conclusion.

400.02 Space sometimes appears chaotic and somewhat unpredictable. The interaction between time and frequency generates what we perceive to be form, i.e. substances that appear as points of energy participating in a particular dimension, i.e. planets, suns, animals, vegetation, etc. Identities are created as the result of this interface in what could be described as a quantum expression of multi-dimensional proportions made manifest. Each dimension brings with it a different comprehension, interpretation and understanding of this fundamental principle.

400.03 Consciousness, i.e. which is a pivotal point/expression in space, can move freely within any field of unpredictability (space). The point of observation will always be considered and/or defined as a "oneness" in relation to what is experienced and/or observed within the constraints of a particular time/space continuum, i.e. dimension. Chaos doesn’t appear apparent when singularity achieves self-awareness, however some aspect pertaining to the concept of duality will always be present.

400.04 Resonating within its own prescribed limits between meaning and purpose, light appears to be an expression of a single unifying force, e.g. Tao, God, Allah, etc. As a matter of perception patterns emerge, forms are "created" and colors are naturally bound within space’s own conditioning processes and dimensional constraints.

400.05 We (humanity) are one with and in space, elements that simultaneously contribute to its very meaning and purpose. A collection of events resonating at pre-conditioned frequencies, realizations that separate nothingness into systemic singularities in a perpetual quest for balance.

Power of Design: Part 3 - Time

100.16 Time is structured upon the relationship of symbolic events in the moment. As these relationships begin to accelerate in the present, time expands redefining itself along the way. Time diffuses, as well as the patterns corresponding to every design giving it meaning and purpose. Perceptions appear altered. Time’s integration into matter becomes apparent as the frequencies commensurate with appearances at a three dimensional level of perception become "quickened". Frequencies composing every form are accelerated, revealing the symbolic underpinnings of its particular design.

100.17 Time gives expression to universal geometric made manifest through the patterning of symbolic events. These geometries naturally correspond to the meanings and purposes of the form, and the corresponding patterns expressed through the form. These correspondences are felt and internalized, verifying the experience and giving relevance to its reality.

100.18 Time develops a system of symbolic events that create the parameters of a particular consciousness. Matter, which is the handmaiden of time, identifies each symbolic event, i.e. design, through a relative form. This occurs by integrating an assortment of frequencies into a single event. This composite event gives expression to an identifiable unit of wholeness in space and time.

100.19 Time, which is symbolically expressed in every form, actively participates in the duality of meaning and purpose. What is both known and not known emerges as the results of our meditation upon the relationship. Soon the parameters of our reality and the constraints of our consciousness are brought to the surface. However, in time the unknown slowly becomes known and time’s relationship to design becomes apparent.

100.In time design collapses about an instant only to change in the next moment. A point moving ever so slightly tracing our orbits. Our passage through time is design moving instantly.

100.21 All that can be known about a design is stored in an instant, as meaning changes to purpose and purpose to meaning experience becomes traced in time and space. Always spiraling inward by design we are being drawn towards a common source of balance and harmony.

100.22 Design allows us to look inward into the nucleus of our own reality, i.e.the process of self-enlightenment, true sovereignty and self-empowerment.

100.23 Design is an integral part of consciousness, as we know it. Within a quantum field of unpredictability our imaginings illustrate our tendency to exist in relative matter, therefore objectifying relative space. From our point of origin we symbolically create the constraints necessary to give meaning and purpose to ourselves. Time is just such a constraint.

Power of Design: Part 2 - Time

100.6 Experiences appear symbolically within the framework of time and space. Each experience appears before consciousness both multidimensionally and systemically. Experiences are shaped to give expression to particular qualifying patterns contained within the consciousness of the perceiver. Creativity rests upon the reflection of these patterns in relative time and space, i.e. manifestation, thus perpetuating the expansion of consciousness.

100.7 Experiences come together through a natural referencing as need demands or allows. Time allows for the referencing of experiences outside the parameters of each conscious framework, stimulating and encouraging possible growth. Memory’s framework as referenced in time, is repeatedly used in order to support the realization of certain design patterns indigenous to the perceiver.

100.8 Time symbolically strings design events together presenting each reality as a multi-dimensional appearance before consciousness. In time everything is experienced in the now, including travels to a past and a future. Memory retains experiences within a framework of time and consciousness. And it is upon this same framework that creativity is dependent.

100.9 Time makes its appearance in matter by design. Time is a symbolic component of matter. Because of this all imaginings, both conscious and subconscious, have substance and give form to a particularly patterned reality.

100.10 Dimensions are interchangeable due to the symbolic relationship between time and matter. Time as it is expressed in matter and form, allows us to maintain balance, participate in our own consciousness and interface with our own experiences.

100.11 Time is often constrained due to the repetitious application of a conditioned memory. Therefore focus must be internalized with the purpose of shattering and releasing past time events indigenous to the perceiver.

100.12 Mind constitutes a patterned group of symbolic associations. Time portrays these associations as a matrix of symbolic events, which in turn give meaning and purpose to a referential reality.

100.13 Motion is symbolic of a design occurring across the span of time. It is also associated with the concept of distance. This motion allows for everything to happen concurrently both at micro and macrocosmic level of consciousness.

100.14 Time contains symbolic events, which allow for the interaction of other symbolic events at different levels of consciousness. For example, it can be said that all humans share a common timeline, yet each individual will perceive it differently. The correspondences shared between these timelines are symbolic, designed as part of a natural series of events. Time is and should be designed within the natural constraints of the perceiver. Please ponder upon some other designs in nature in which we share a common time and meditate upon these ramifications. A meaning and purpose, i.e. a design, is shared by all that participate in time.

100.15 Timelessness is a design based in the present moment. Unconstrained by the symbolic patterns of the past, time is left open in the now. Perceptions are accelerated and consciousness expands beyond its preconceived framework. Design perpetually redefines itself as each meaning and purpose corresponds with other meanings and purposes. Consciousness naturally expands upon the path of timelessness.

The Power of Design

We are dependent upon our environment for our sustenance. Through proper intention and alignment design materializes thought. Design strengthens us, allowing us to make manifest our desires and expand in consciousness. Through experience we learn about Design as the expression of a mysterious Source. In addition to the designs of others, we learn to appropriately integrate these experiences into our own personal journey.
Design is Hermeneutic, the art of symbolic interpretation. Listed are some of the ways in which Design has been given expression as Life at this particular vibratory level. This is an on-going work that will grow as long as Life’s journey continues to reveal and perpetuate its simple treasures.

Time
100.01 Time is designed and is therefore symbolic in character. Time is a construction of our own making. What we experience is characterized in time and contains all the symbolic elements that have meaning and purpose in our lives.

100.02 In labeling our own experiences by design we create the constraints necessary to give substance to our reality. In essence, time is unconstrained, independent and formless. We create objects in order to make time relevant experientially. Time needs no reference and is infinite.

100.03 Consciousness gives time structure, a framework upon which designed experiences can grow. Forms are symbolic and act as references within an experiential structure of time. Experiences therefore appear as designs, or isolated events brought together within a designed framework.

100.04 Time’s relationship to nature’s cycles is similar to mathematics’ relationship to geometry. Time, as we know it, is a symbolic system that has been created in order to substantiate previously proven cyclical laws within nature and the cosmos. Mathematics has been drawn from geometry. The concept of time has been drawn from the cycles of naturally occurring events. Cyclic patterns demonstrate a fundamental order to the universe. Time attempts to reference that which is implicit.

100.5 By design, time creates a symbolic system through which consciousness can observe itself. Forms become space/time reference points, which in turn create subsystemic maps of consciousness and frameworks for further expansion.

Design Consciousness, Kansei and the Tao part 1

Kansei is an integral part of the phenomenon we’ve come to know and understand as design. Kansei is a term that attempts to describe a subjective event that remains open to interpretation, while simultaneously inferring certain qualities that are generally considered to be emotional in content. But for the most part, Kansei brings attention to only one aspect, or quality, of a multi-dimensional experience we’ve come to realize in three-dimensional space/time as design. I reveal in my books, The Tao of Design and The Tao of the Circles, the interactive relationship between the Tao, design, symbols, meaning, purpose and the elements of change. Similar information will be presented in this paper in the light of both Kansei and Chisei, which describes a more logistic or factual interpretation of reality. Their combined influence upon a new interpretation of the design function; and by implication their potential impact upon the human condition, will be discussed. Reference concerning the close relationship between the Tao, Kansei and Chisei will be entertained and incorporated into describing five basic laws that govern the design experience and design thinking. In conclusion, I discuss why it is important for us to revisit our current interpretation and understanding of design in the light of meaning (Kansei) and purpose (Chisei). Taoist thought, its relationship to a symbolic reality and its impact upon the emergence of a new design paradigm is emphasized throughout the presentation.

1. Introduction

The Tao is an ancient mysterious teaching that can be traced back approximately 6,000 years. Generally, Taoism attempts to describe a way of life that cooperates with the natural world and has been closely associated with the evolution of Chinese civilization. The Tao has been described as a philosophy and for some it has become a religion. The word Tao translates as "the Way", the Path, or "the way the universe works" [1]. This definition includes the manner in which we perceive the world, how we interact with Life and how we perceive ourselves in relation to everything around us. The Tao’s central principle describes all Life as part of a unified whole, or unity that originates from an unexplainable Source. According to the Tao the universe is considered a vast Oneness, change is the only constant and harmony the only basic principle of existence. The Tao moves by flowing effortlessly according to its own principles as they are expressed in nature. The Tao has often been compared to water as it flows gracefully within a changing landscape. The Tao is always moving in conjunction with and in response to, the forces of the cosmos [2].

The Tao doesn’t prescribe a way to live, but rather suggests an "art of living". The Tao has also been described as being nameless, formless and unpredictable. Supposedly the Tao is so expansive that it cannot be understood by rational means alone. Taoist believe that humanity is an integral part of a Divine Order and that all things have an active role in its expression. To the ancient Chinese the Tao was considered an integral part of human development that eventually leads to the realization of self.

The Tao has been proposed as a guide towards self-exploration, growth and transformation; a process that allows us to communicate with ourselves and with the world around us. Taoist theorize that when we work in cooperation with the forces of nature we become an integral and active part of those same forces. And that by becoming instruments of change in the universe we occupy, we become self-empowered by experiencing its ever changing dynamic.

Taoist believe that in the beginning there was a great Mystery, or Absolute that felt the strong desire to know itself. In order to fulfill this desire the Source had to separate from itself. This gave birth to what we’ve come to know and experience as cause and effect. Two opposing states came into being, the yin energy (negative) and the yang energy (positive). Together these forces gave reference and relative substance to what we consider the physical universe. According to Lao-Tzu reality comes into being through the dynamic relationship between these opposites. The laws and cycles that govern this reality are expressed through the Tao and its actions reflections of the purposes motivating the Source.

According to Lao-Tzu there is an active interplay between what is experienced internally and what is considered outside ourselves, with each effecting the other. Our subjective world (unseen and intangible) and our objective world (seen and tangible) together bring substance to images and impressions that constitute what we believe to be real.

Our actions are guided by the Tao and experienced within the greater consciousness that gives composition to the Source’s concept of reality. We share in this common reality because we are active participants in its manifestation, i.e. its being. We are patterned expressions of energy that bring to Life (manifestation) certain qualities relative to the imaginings emanating from a common Source. Expressions in the form of ideas, impressions and images originate from this shared Origin and are made manifest at assorted frequencies through cyclical laws and principles brought into expression through the Tao.

Because of this heritage we are driven by the desire to know ourselves. Our intimate relationship with the Source is the reason for this primordial impulse and desire to create. Consequently, we can also discover and learn who we are by stepping "outside" ourselves through our own methods of creative imagining and manifestation. We actually repeat this impulse every day of our lives and in everything we focus our energies, both consciously and subconsciously. By responding to every situation in Life we learn to discover ourselves by adapting to each circumstance in a creative fashion.

Chuang Tzu explains the Tao as an inner experience in which the subject and the object are merged. It is the fusion of the self and the no self that is the key that unlocks the mystery of the Tao. It is the intuitional, creative self that blossoms when this distinction disappears. [3]

2. Method

Now is the time we need to re-examine our understanding and definition of the term "design". The origin of the word stems from the Latin meaning "to mark or mark out", which infers that design relates to the process of making signs and/or symbols. As we know, a design may also be described in the form of an artifact, which is the end result of a series of symbolic gestures, actions and imaginings. But for the most part, the act of designing relates to the active creation and recognition of signs and symbols. The conclusion to those activities results in what we perceive as form. The design process has the capacity to empower its creator through symbolic means and if properly directed, afford the opportunity to know self. Design is the expression of a primordial force that has fashioned for itself a special union with the Tao.

Nature does not act in a linear fashion. Likewise, the human capacity to perceive the world is fundamentally holistic in character. " — our organisms have ways of intelligent understanding beyond words and conscious attention, ways that can handle an unknown number of variables at the same time — "[4]. Because of its symbolic and dynamic nature, design has the capacity to bring to fruition many subjective impressions. Symbols create the foundation for ways of thinking, feeling and perceiving the world. In addition, the structure inherent in every symbolic system dictates the way in which these symbols, i.e. designs, are described and understood.

Design supports non-linearity as it is expressed in nature. Design supports pattern recognition and a holistic interpretation and understanding of worldly events. Design also has the capacity to include and entertain an incalculable number of variables within each and every situation one may encounter; the success of which is dependent upon how many variables can be construed, included and perceived within the constraints of the individual experiencing the situation. Design and design thinking has the capacity to take into account a wide range of variables that together bring relative form to the formless. Design encourages non-linear thinking. Design’s capacity to see-hidden relationships and far-reaching connections between events allows us to give substance to our reality. In this manner symbols work in conjunction with the Tao, gently leading each of us towards our own designation.

It is not easy to distinguish between variables, they are inherently fuzzy elements that when scrutinized support both a Taoist and quantum concept of wholeness. Where one variable stops and another begins is a matter for discussion, and as in most circumstances is determined by the symbolic system, i.e. language, culture, etc. used to interpret it. The truth of the matter is, in reality everything is quite arbitrary. What is important is how we experience each reality and how in turn it contributes towards a growth of consciousness.

In essence, all that we could ever experience, i.e. all thoughts, feelings, forms, dreams, emotions, impressions, images, appear before consciousness in their simplest form as signs. When perceived symbolically these impressions become connected to other signs/symbols, with each possessing their own distinct meaning. [5] This is fundamental to what could be described as "design thinking", which takes the position, and clearly alludes to the fact that, all things are connected. Design reveals the energies that both create life and sustain it, along with the realization that change is an integral part of the universal dynamic. Design thinking brings to life these realizations both in a subjective and objective fashion.

Design both encompasses and precedes the origin of its own definition and interpretation. Design, like the Tao, is inherently paradoxical. Design is a universal process and symbolic system used to give form and recognition to the imaginings emerging from a Mysterious origin or origins. The yin and the yang (Kansei/Chisei) symbolically describe these two qualities found in the universe and are an integral part of the Tao of Design. [6]

If we go forward and apply the Taoist classifications of yin and yang we need also to consider the dualistic characteristics exhibited by a sign and a symbol. Essentially each symbol has both a meaning and a purpose. Relatively speaking, purpose can be compared to the qualities described as the yang force. When referencing design, purpose should be considered to be primarily mental in quality and referenced to Chisei. Whereas meaning (yin) should be considered to be emotional in character in reference to Kansei. Purpose is relative to the mind, and meaning relates to our emotions. When placed in conjunction with each other they allow for, create and give precedence to movement and change. In design change is one of perspective and symbolic interpretation brought to realization through the relationship between the qualities of the mind and the emotions, i.e. purpose and meaning, Chisei and Kansei.

Opinions, forms, beliefs, feelings, facts, emotions, knowledge and reality are in constant flux, as situations we encounter in time often change in reference to earlier interpretations. It is here where we begin to experience the power of both the seen and the unseen forces of nature brought into play. Design’s symbolic nature and dynamic capacity to create associations, supports the Taoist viewpoint that everything is symbolic. Everything has meaning. Everything has purpose

The Hindu have a wonderful term to describe the relationship between our thoughts and our emotions called "Kama Manas". Kama Manas describes the fact that all thought has an emotion and every emotion a thought. This cohesive partnership is inherent to the way humanity perceives the world. It is inescapable and fundamental to understanding design’s impact upon consciousness, the human spirit and how we fit into the cosmic order.

3. Results and Discussions

There are five laws that govern design thinking. These laws are based upon the principle that reality should be described and perceived as a series of design (symbolic) events, situations and experiences we encounter both in our waking and sleeping states. The five laws that govern design thinking are:

First, the fact that everything has two opposing aspects present in every situation; forces that basically struggle with and attempt to control the other. Purpose (Chisei) has a meaning and meaning (Kansei) also has a purpose. A situation may be very meaningful in a purposeful way and visa versa, yet each can appear to want to overcome the other for its own purposes. Human mind is in constant struggle with the emotions, especially when we know that the right thing to do is in conflict with what we also know is true in our hearts. It is a struggle inherent to every situation.

Second, the fact that meaning and purpose can help define each other and in essence, cannot actually exist without the other. Meaning (Kansei) has no meaning if there is no purpose (Chisei), nor does purpose have a purpose without meaning. Each aspect is dependent upon the other for its own identity. When contemplating upon these observations it becomes more and more apparent just how active and energetic the design process is as it perpetuates change and revitalizes our concept of reality with each and every relationship and situation we encounter. The human mind cannot function without an emotional counterpart qualifying our each and every thought.

Third, both meaning and purpose will often nurture and nourish the other. For example, the meaning (Kansei) in support of a particular purpose (Chisei) can bring great support to its struggle. Meaning and purpose give of each other in order to nourish each other. The mind feeds our emotions, while our emotions constantly offer food for thought.

Fourth, both meaning and purpose can transform and become the other. Over time we may begin to better recognize this kinship as mind follows the flow of thought making its transition between the realities of meaning and purpose. All of a sudden what was once meaningful now becomes purposeful and what once had purpose now has meaning. Our emotions (Kansei) can often lead us into some very thoughtful pursuits, as well as the mind (Chisei) bringing to our awareness some very meaningful emotions. Through design and its symbolic influences, meaning and purpose can often become the other.

The fifth point illustrates that there is a little meaning in every purpose and a little purpose in every meaning. This relationship is symbolically demonstrated in each and every form. Meaning and purpose can be subdivided ad infinitum into every form seen or unseen that constitutes the universe. Humanly speaking our mind (Chisei), in conjunction with our emotions (Kansei) has the capacity to create forms and situations that are limited only by the constraints we impose upon our imagination.

What we actually create for ourselves are designed "situations" [7]. Specifically, we respond to each experience with our most appropriate thoughts and emotions packaged into symbolic forms or symbolic responses that best accommodate the situation at hand. As designers we are symbol makers in our own right. Together and in response to the energies expressed in the Tao, we each to bring into manifestation our own concept of reality.

Design is also concerned with maintaining a balance between the qualities of meaning (Kansei) and purpose (Chisei) in the situations we encounter. Life’s forces move naturally towards balance and are based upon the dynamic relationships created between yin and yang. Design too is always adjusting to the shifting flow of the Tao by describing the process through symbolic means, which appear as events that emerge before our consciousness as change.

Everything is constantly searching for balance within itself. The act of balancing is a process that attempts to restore harmony into every moment. Change creates imbalance in order to bring attention to those forces that effect us. The qualities of meaning (Kansei) and purpose (Chisei) nourish and support each other in our quest for harmony. This is a natural action that occurs between our thoughts, our emotions and the forces of the Tao. The dynamic relationship between meaning and purpose deepens our awareness without confining our understanding. The result is the development of an intuitive sense for being aware and in the moment that manifests as a willingness and strength to make the most appropriate choices.

We are fundamentally mental creatures and design describes the process that formulates thought into its most appropriate form. Forms, images, thoughts and emotions are not the actual replications of experience, but are symbolic representations, i.e. designs, that bring meaning and purpose to our relationship with the Tao. The connective leaps that are made between meaning and purpose describe the dynamics that are inherent to design, but they are not design itself. Likewise, the qualities of meaning and purpose are not and do not describe the balance. Ironically balance cannot be found through any attempt to describe, attain, discover or explain it. We only become entangled within the parameters of its symbolic structure.

Everything is contained within the nature of itself. When we respond and are consciously "in the moment", movement can become briefly contained. Balance will then be experienced as a "centering stillness". In this manner a natural freedom can be discovered through the relationship between meaning and purpose. The result is a deeper sensitivity and appreciation of the Design in which we participate. This is the same stillness of mind that Lao Tzu beckons us to experience. He urges us to seek clarity of mind, to be receptive and to act upon the unseen influences that surround us — influences that symbolically appear before our consciousness by Design. Harmony is brought to our awareness when we bring to fruition the realization of its freedom, a freedom of imaginative expression that is experienced through the process of designing.

"If practitioners of the Tao can realize things of the world are all temporary, and the body too is insubstantial, they will not set their minds on the evanescent world but will remain mindful of the realm where there is no form"[9]. Liu I-ming

The purpose of the Tao of Design is to cultivate the spirit made manifest in form by bringing light to form’s meaning and purpose. Through design, consciousness has the opportunity to see through form’s veiled distortions and bring to focus the essence and spirit inhabiting its integrity, which is the Tao. Design is the vehicle that facilitates this process towards self-empowerment. Design is the process where the spirit of the creator becomes reflected in that which it creates, both seen and unseen. Design allows us to meditate upon our creations and the underlying purpose concealed in the forms of our own making. Design assists us in discovering for ourselves the differences between the real and the unreal.

Design facilitates the "situations" necessary for any creative venture brought forth by the imagination. Design’s ability to effect our imagination nourishes a natural growth in awareness, which in turn perpetuates a greater knowing and understanding of both oneself and the world. In this fashion, the world intimately touches us in our evolutionary journey, as we in turn touch the world.

4. Conclusions

It is imperative that the knowledge in support of mankind’s true nature, i.e. mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, be learned and understood before significant progress can be made towards implementing conceptual networks surrounding both Kansei and Chisei. Current methods of investigation into Kansei are based primarily upon the scientific paradigm, which promotes a specific method towards revealing and interpreting phenomenon. Design investigations need to focus upon natural models and a true understanding of form generation, aesthetics, concepts surrounding the process of manifestation and evolutionary constraints. Design investigations into Kansei must consider the ramifications of change, which are fundamental to the understanding of human consciousness and its place in a universal design.

Humanity views the design phenomenon from many perspectives, all of which are based upon the conditioning power of culture, race, economic status, biology, sex, etc. Yet one of design’s roles is to seek balance through change. This task is accomplished by bringing to fruition humanity’s capacity to give form to formlessness. Design needs to be investigated and refined in order to demonstrate conclusively that it is intimately woven into the fabric of human and universal consciousness. Due to the nature of design, more appropriate tools need to be discovered for future investigations into its unique qualities. Design is an integral player in the holographic and vibratory universe in which we participate and key to future explorations that lie beyond the scientific paradigm.

Consciousness is dependent upon the ability to dynamically adjust to an environment that is in perpetual change. Stimuli construed as originating from both internal and external sources is indicative in understanding the concept of design consciousness as a whole.

In order to survive and function appropriately consciousness must possess awareness, i.e. elements of cognition that can be described in both the smallest and broadest of terms. The capacity to respond to any surrounding environment makes a certain degree of cognition mandatory if any manifestation of consciousness is to survive.

It soon becomes apparent that the greater the field of consciousness the greater its awareness, complexity, and influence. Cognition contributes to the formation of an intelligence that by nature will acclimatize to every circumstance it encounters. By appending awareness, consciousness increases its chances for survival by expanding its resources under the guise of balance. If done coherently the relative materialization of this process appears to manifest in its most appropriate form, which is a symbolic reflection of the situation encountered. Through the transfer of energy by either sign or symbol, consciousness provides an appropriate form to its environment while simultaneously responding to it. Consciousness is the product of a number of cognitions (awarenesses) connected by varying degree and quality.

Consciousness cannot be known by any one perspective or cognition, rather consciousness must be placed into a context in order to be perceived and/or recognized. In this same fashion a single cognition becomes significant when it resonates and thereby compliments its archetypal source while vibrating at another octave. The product of this resonance may eventually appear in the form of a solid, a thought, or an emotion.

When perceived as a form of intelligence, greater awareness can be achieved by purposely expanding within the same environmental constraints that both recognize and distinguish it from others. When internally directed this process could be viewed as experience. These situations therefore become the very same experiences that create the opportunities and imaginings that add to the growth of awareness.

In design all consciousness must work within constraints. When approaching its limits, consciousness must blend with other fields of awareness solely for the purpose of expansion and survival.

Fields of consciousness are held together within construed parameters and are created by frequencies that either emerge into form or recede into a virtual (quantum) field of formlessness. Upon separation a thin membrane-like partition is formed that appears to separate energy within this common field. Yet the result of this interface from another perspective is that one field appears to permeate the other.

Through resonance each field actively participates in the relative manifestation of a single and identifiable awareness along with a more complex expression we perceive as consciousness. In the process a harmonious field of awareness is formed that appears essential to the sustenance of a field greater than any individual point of view.

Take for example the many organs that together constitute the human body that exist both within and outside the parameters of human awareness. Individually they create the micro-fields of awareness required for systemic sustenance, e.g. cardio-vascular system, respiratory system, lymphatic system, etc. Together these organs and the fields they generate, must vibrate at a particular frequency in order to resonate and give relative “substance” to the human field of energy we describe as consciousness.

This is the result of a process that began with the emergence of a spark, or “idea” originating from within a greater field of consciousness we, like the micro-fields of awareness that contribute to our own being, transpire to bring forth into substance. We mimic this same process by purposely separating our focus of awareness outside ourselves through our ability to imagine. Design requires that there always be a design-ation, a focus or goal required to sustain itself during its journey through manifestation. The imagination is a vital contributor to the definition of self-consciousness and a true barometer of its awareness.

This entire process begins with the capacity to internalize awareness by focusing upon one’s own consciousness; during these moments time steps aside. Time is a unit of measurement and the residue that accompanies the emergence of any idea into its own particular and relative form. Time is merely a concept that exists solely to experience consciousness in context and as a formation of self solely for the purposes of expansion and survival.

Prior to the quickening of self-consciousness there was no need for time, basically because there was no need for form. Human consciousness, in reference to where evolution had taken it, had yet reached the point where design had a recognizable meaning and a purpose. Without a meaningful and purposeful designation there was no need for self-consciousness. As awareness expands time gradually shortens and forms begin to fade, remaining symbolic reflections of the consciousness to which they once resonated.

Meditation is founded upon the process of focusing self-consciousness upon pure awareness. Meditation reverses the process by directing self-awareness towards a virtual field, i.e. subconscious quantum state that "internally" resides within the confines of its own fields of awareness. A virtual field of awareness is a conditioned form of consciousness that houses "experiences" that had been formed within the parameters of the mind and its imaging capabilities.

The creative process is a metaphor for the awakening of self-consciousness. When the process is keenly observed design symbolically integrates the information (sign) with images that characterize it as a symbol e.g. Kama/Manas. The design process then becomes symbiotic by continuing to perpetuate this internal engagement for the purpose of expansion and survival as clearly illustrated in the birthing process.

As oil and water temporarily mix when being agitated within the constraints of a common field (vessel), both fields penetrate each other and in doing so temporarily merge to create a unique and different field of expression. If the situation is appropriate, the elements might complement each other by giving a purposeful and meaningful relevance to the relationship. Upon conclusion and without any further external energy conditioning the environment, both liquids will eventually return to their original state being somewhat changed in time, by the experience.

Creativity in the form of a focused and localized energy appearing “outside” the field of its origin has the potential to break through the casings and illusionary constraints that appear to separate vibratory fields of consciousness from each other. Humanity similarly accomplishes this very complex task by using its’ imagination and through those creative efforts that are purposely and meaningfully prescribed.

The Transition Between Micro and Macro Consciousness

Life responds to its environment through vibrations that appear before our awareness symbolically. This is done through a series of circumstances we perceive as experience. These influences are not always apparent as they can both define and redefine situations that give definition and meaning to past experiences. During the course of these transitions certain experiences appear indicative of the circumstances as they were at the time while others are perceived to be the bearers of change.

In other words, each environment or situation is overflowing with the potential for creating new symbolic configurations. These changes can happen immediately and in the moment with time becoming the only indicator. It is for this reason that being “in the now” is so fundamental to the expansion of consciousness.

In order to remain sustainable each resolution must stay loyal to a prescribed set of archetypal and universal principles. In this fashion each and every circumstance sets the stage for a unique experience by creating the context from which new insights into consciousness can be brought forward and into awareness. These new corresponding relationships typically arise in the form of an emotion, a thought, a gesture or an action.

Symbols act as triggers that initiate the penetration and eventual infiltration of these archetypal patterns into their most appropriate configuration through the law of correspondences. These forms of energy give relative “substance” to a greater field of awareness in which these events, i.e. experiences, take place. In essence, archetypal configurations stemming from a common macro field of consciousness appear to materialize within the constraints of that particular field in a fashion that corresponds to the qualities of the field itself.

Not all micro expressions within this contextual field of consciousness respond in the same manner, matter of fact some will not resonate at all. This is fundamental to understanding that separation is a natural and necessary occurrence appearing within the constraints of any field of energy.

This circumstance also allows the archetypes to be able to penetrate into the porous membranes of a micro field of relative expression. Life, i.e. consciousness, could not be sustained if it not were for the archetypes’ ability to penetrate into the microcosmic fields of is own awareness and thereby becoming the causal agent for change and expansion.

The key lies within symbolic constraints, i.e. frequencies that affect certain levels of awareness and not others. The universe is a symbolic expression of its own essence, “qualities” that vibrate, resonate and take-on the form of the archetypes. Each archetype, like all forms of energy, vibrates at a particular frequency. Those forms that compliment these frequencies will similarly resonate to them like two tuning forks vibrating to the same note.

Forms are the composite and balanced expression of those qualities that together share in the manifestation of a macro field of consciousness. There are structures within structures and in relative degrees of manifestation that together share in the formative expression of a greater field of awareness in which they participate. They all share in a common consciousness woven together by symbolic threads of awareness.

This creates a system of symbolic relationships, connections and/or correspondences if you will, that will allow only select frequencies to enter into the fields of expression that sustain and give relative form to its awareness. Likened to a musical score that must be played in a certain “key” or chord, the archetypes are orchestrated in a particular vibratory manner solely in order to give relative form, expression and sustenance to a greater opus or composition. In this fashion life in all its forms, e.g. cellular, molecular, organic, and inorganic, are archetypal in nature and key to an earthly orchestration described as a planetary consciousness, i.e. Gaia.

Essentially the archetypes both assemble and fragment a macrocosmic field of consciousness that if left absent will become lifeless. Life is the symbolic fruit of an awareness made manifest within the constraints of a universal consciousness, a collective field that is allied symbolically by design. The archetypes facilitate the associations made between macro and micro levels of awareness. Consciousness is linked archetypically unto itself by design.

But An Impermanent State

All shapes, forms and appearances conform to every situation at hand, responding within identifiable parameters in an unending vacillation between internal causation and external effect. This is a perpetual process that cycles upon itself ad infinitum. In design imbalance is a natural condition and balance but an impermanent state. In this manner permanence, e.g. materialism, becomes an agent for change.

In an unending quest for balance forms are continually being fragmented and reconstructed in reference to and within the parameters of, a greater field of consciousness in which they participate and have their relative “being”.

In reference to humanity, change appears to originate from within the subconscious, which is a virtual field and unidentifiable awareness, a quality that co mingles and interpenetrates consciousness. The subconscious also appears as a causal agent that has the power to influence both the conscious observer and the “material field” that interpenetrates the field of the perceiver, e.g. qualia.

Consciousness has the potential to adhere and connect to a wide variety of systems of formation that are integrated with and molded about, certain archetypal patterns. Experience places conscious/awareness into a contextual environment therefore increasing the potential to generate shifts in awareness, e.g. synchronicity.

A “design” is the result of a number of critical elements that are somewhat “locked” into certain patterns, i.e. meanings and purposes that have been described and defined through experience. These patterns are encoded within the context of the field and are tainted by the intentions and perceptions of the observer. Likewise, all such patterns can be fine-tuned thereby changing the field and the very context in which the phenomenon is perceived and/or observed.

Therefore, both the meaning and the purpose in support of any archetypal directive can be refined and/or altered to accommodate every situation. By adjusting the focus and/or intent of any particular frequency, i.e. pattern, any design can be modified and transformed.

An original intent in support of any archetypal pattern appears as a constant, only its context changes thereby allowing for alteration and adaptation. For example, over the course of human consciousness the field of human awareness has expanded over time due to the context in which these patterns “materialized”. Evolution has been packaged into a vast array of macro and micro experiences that have been both supported and rejected by selection, i.e. choices if you will, made within the parameters of a planetary field of consciousness.

Adjustments by iteration are made by a natural sequencing of events and are based upon archetypal templates that originate beyond the scope of human awareness. Although virtual in origin, these permutations are viewed as being physical, mental and/or emotional in content and character, impressions brought on by experiences in relative “form” that appear to emerge from a single mysterious source, i.e. virtual reality.

Consciousness has meaning and purpose, an awareness that is put into context by design. Through experience, awareness can change patterns and ultimately the field in which it appears. Experience encourages awareness and change, thereby altering all perceivable concepts of reality without destroying the original schematic.

Survival: The Result of a Co-operative Design Process

Design implies action, movement and life. Design animates life through change, which is a principle of the universe. Consciousness appears before itself as a field of energy in continuous flux, a circumstance that brings into manifestation and under certain circumstances, a temporary state of being.

However, consciousness seems caught in its own perpetual oscillation, an undulation that appears to be the result of a striving for both internal and external balance, while actively participating in a dance of information exchange between a source, a receiver and its reflection.

Form could be described as the relative manifestation of a consciousness that is in harmonious balance both within and outside itself, an illusion that appears as an object external to its own awareness. As environments change consciousness responds, and when appropriate adapts to the situation accordingly.

Organisms take on the appearance of a specific type of consciousness, are aware of each other in the form of frequency exchanges and are either attracted or repulsed by these vibratory expressions both shared and contained within the parameters of a greater field.

Change can be directed and/or encouraged by stimulating an array of vibratory patterns archetypically fixed within the structural matrix of an organism or form, this can be accomplished by directing and/or focusing certain specific frequencies that resonate with its’ own patterned sources, while others remain relatively unaffected throughout the engagement.

For example in reference to humanity, thought will always be associated with emotion by design. The product of this relationship may or may not manifest into a formation of substance, or action. This is a circumstance that is entirely dependent upon the situation and the context in which the phenomenon occurs.

Self-awareness implies choice while survival is dependent upon adaptability in the midst of change. To be self aware requires a heightened sensitivity to both an internal and external awareness brought about by being a perceiver, an observer and lastly an active participator within the very consciousness (matrix) that retains and sustains its existence.

Together the qualities and relationships occurring and creating awareness, e.g. yin and yang, also help to determine the fundamental composition of a greater consciousness. Any excesses will predate the form found to be necessary for survival in every situation encountered. Essentially all forms conform to the circumstance at-hand and are entirely dependent upon the competing forces of wholeness and fragmentation for existence, forces that are similarly in quest of finding their own internal balance within a greater context of change.

Along with a growth in awareness is the realization that survival is not necessarily a characteristic of the fittest, but rather the result of a precedence within the field of a greater consciousness in which these forms and organisms have found their being. Likened to a school of fish, herd of bison, or cellular biology of an organism, survival appears primarily as a conscious sharing of an particular “awareness” created by fields that together give substance to a greater whole. Survival is more the result of a cooperative design process that has its origins beyond the constraints of the perceivers and/or observers, but well within the parameters of a greater field of awareness

These frequency exchanges give sustenance to adaptation, which generates movement as the response to vibratory frequencies outside the parameters of its own field of awareness. These gestures in the form of change are symbolically perceived and construed to be either supportive or threatening in reference to the “survival” of any one or more expression of the same.

Because of the capacity of the mind to imagine, consciousness will always remain a field of virtual possibility. The mind brings relative “form” to these imaginings through the conscious desire of the observer. Some virtual particles become substantiated into a physical world of measurement by organizing themselves about the laws, principles and patterns of nature. Hence, the essence of consciousness can be eventually discovered by the desire to still the mind merely by not imagining it. Pure consciousness therefore becomes the conscious awareness of being.

Consciousness should be considered a quality of the mind, a process and product of numerable connections and relationships, i.e. experiences, developed through its imagination. All experiences are intrinsically distinctive thereby allowing the mind to account for its own unique imagining and understanding of its own self. Consciousness is a process distinguishable in the present and referenced only through experiences the mind has subjectively imagined and/or created for itself, i.e.qualia

Consciousness goes beyond the measurement of neurons and into the subjective power of the mind's capacity to imagine. Consciousness is more felt than it could ever be understood.

THE TAO OF DESIGN

THE DESIGNER'S BOOK OF CHANGE

Mindful Synchronicities

By nature there are always intimate relationships and associations created between elements, especially in situations where fields of consciousness assimilate with each other. There are subtle distinctions between the concepts of consciousness and awareness. Both terms seem to describe a unique kind of “mindfulness” that exists both within and outside a type of attentiveness; a different kind of alertness that is responsive to an assortment of phenomena around which seems to exist a central yet ephemeral singularity.

Design is the common facilitator that creates the close relationship between these concepts. This relationship may or may not be perceived or observed, but it can be “materialized” into the most appropriate shape, form or structure the situation will allow. C. G. Jung has described a particular trait in this relationship as being a synchronistic event, where consciousness and awareness complement each other by interfacing symbolically in the now. In essence, consciousness and awareness share in a synchronistic attentiveness that paradoxically symbolizes the very dynamic that observes it.

On Another Note:
Buckminster Fuller coined the term “synergy” as being the result of two or more elements combining to create an unexpected result. Bucky used common table salt as an example of a synergetic event. The combination of two very toxic elements, such as sodium (metal) and chlorine (gas), would be expected to create a rather poisonous material. However, contrary to this notion the result is an edible crystal used for seasoning.

I propose that consciousness can similarly “transmute” itself into becoming something beyond belief and expectation. By nature, consciousness has the potential to become more than could ever be anticipated or imagined. By design, consciousness possesses the potential to create a litany of synergetic situations, i.e. formulations and opportunities that can produce a series of quantum leaps in awareness beyond pre-conception, constraint and expectation. Could this same process in essence, also describe love to a certain degree?

Design creates the situation and opportunity for the integration, transmutation and transformation of reality.

I am of the opinion that by nature all consciousness makes strides in expansion through symbolic means, with change being the carrier and apparent result of the process. Major changes along with major transformations, are the end products of synergetic events.

Perceivable events are natural expressions of a conscious field that possesses a wide variety of divergent qualities, and where phenomena appear as complex functions in the form of both observable and unobservable events emanating from a fleeting, changing and undefined manifestation.

Because of resonance accessories participating at all levels of consciousness also become their own facilitators, i.e. transmitters of commonly shared vibratory events. Realization of this subliminal relationship is dependent upon each field’s sensitivity to both the transmission and reception of these frequencies. However there will always be exceptions as situations change and become altered thereby affecting relevant outcomes.

Through symbolic means design appears as the central principle in the universal process of creation. Design's resonating power prescribes it as the major tool of consciousness, i.e. the sole pattern maker within the makeup, configuration, arrangement, formation and composition of all organisms.

Upon the Premise of Survival

Large fields of consciousness, in the figure of organism and form, give natural expression to a wide variety of associations between elements of “like kind”. These formations resonate, for all intents and purposes, in the form of a greater whole and appear as design patterns founded upon commonly shared archetypal models.

Design acts as an expression of these vibratory elements that are seemingly attracted to each other within the confines of a particular environment or field. Design gives relative “form” to these relationships, whether they appear tangible or not. Emotions similarly lie within the capacity of this same power where an appropriate combination of elements can “bring to life” awareness through the creative reflection of a conscious act.

Balance is an expression of strength and contributes to the survival of any organism found within the constraints and parameters of a surrounding environment. The constant search for balance similarly gives birth to perpetual change both within and outside the influences of the field at-large.

Consciousness is an evolutionary symptom of an agent or group of agents that together give rise to a composite energy that is shared between them. As the intensity of this relationship increases there appears to be growth and expansion; the field has the potential to become larger, more powerful, and more apparent while simultaneously existing within the constraints of both the internal and external forces that shape it. Together these ingredients give sustenance to a lesser awareness both within (subjectivity) and beyond the field of an identifiable consciousness (objectivity).

In essence, consciousness seems to expand both collectively and individually by developing the capacity to adapt to all situations through experiences that participate in a common series of qualities expressed during the process. Specialization occurs within the confines of the field, while a collective awareness eventually surfaces as the result of an assortment of subliminal and sometimes abstruse influences.

Consciousness overlaps with itself and is shared between organisms based upon the premise that survival, within a shared environment, demands a certain degree of unity between elements. Survival requires communication, interaction and associations based upon frequency, vibration and resonance. Design facilitates this requirement by bringing to fruition the necessary vibratory threads that unify and identify consciousness at both micro and macro levels. An Evolutionary Symptom

Consciousness remains the result of a process that produces an assemblage of associations and relationships between innumerable elements, both virtually and in the relative form of substance, the compilation and relative materialization of which is perceived as an array of configurations in the form energy, i.e. light.

Together and within the constraints of the field in which these various elements have joined, energy patterns give rise to the phenomenon where the parts appear to be both a source (macro) and an expression (micro) of a particular type of consciousness supported by its own awareness. Consciousness is therefore a relative term and possessor of an accumulative “effect” along with an associative “affect” and whose combination creates innumerable levels of awareness made apparent within the variable constraints of a particular field.

A patterned organization of virtual energy with the capacity to oscillate between form and formlessness, consciousness appears to lean more towards being the expression of a field rather than a form possessing “outward appearances”. Qualities inherent to any field of consciousness are symbolically expressed through relative “matter” in the form of patterns that invoke the qualities of the field itself. This similarly appears to be the purpose of the design function as the symbolic connector between awareness, consciousness and the creations induced from these relationships.

Consciousness is the “product” of this virtual energy field, always changing due to an underlying drive for survival through procreation and by making manifest its influences at both micro and macro levels of awareness.

We describe and perceive these virtual elements both within and outside the constraints of this relatively conscious field as spirit and matter. Consciousness is the communal result of a multitude of energy associations and formations, all organized about the realization that survival in the figure of appearances is based upon these connections.

Each field of consciousness responds naturally to all others in a micro and macro mix of archetypal influences, symbolic energies that perpetuate continuous movement and fluctuation within and outside the constraints of every field of consciousness. Consciousness is an evolutionary symptom of a cosmic field that continues to expand its’ environment through creations induced by its own awareness.

The formation of an organism is based upon energy patterns that appear appropriate for each “situation”, often as an assortment of kindred relationships that are constructed within the confines of the field as a whole. Likewise, consciousness must change by becoming both specialized and differentiated within its’ own parametric field, an assemblage that gives relative form to its own concept of both a communal (macro) and individualistic (micro) level of awareness.

Consciousness overlaps, is shared and infused both within the constraints of its own field and within the fields of other entities. This is founded upon the premise that survival is based upon cooperative efforts made within a shared environment that allow for the capacity for further expansion.

Life is a greater consciousness perpetually moving within a patterned cycle of transitions and constraints that similarly strive to bring “balance” within the field of its own “created” consciousness. Balance therefore becomes imperative, an evolutionary and cyclic path between virtual substance and relative form. The capacity to survive the landscape of a greater field in which a particular awareness has its place is a challenge to the meaning and purposefulness of all consciousness

An Association of Virtual Fields

Consciousness is the result of an organized association of virtual elements, both seen and unseen, that together give relative substance to a single larger consciousness. Paradoxically this same consciousness is also the very source of its own awareness. Consciousness appears before human awareness as a kind of substance (matter), mind and emotions in a perpetual oscillation between form and formlessness.

Consciousness is the product of a communal awareness and is a natural consequence of creation. Virtual life forms share energy in a cooperative manner and create self- sustaining systems and structures as a means of survival. Together these configurations explore, discover and respond to their own unique situations in a holistic fashion as well as an individualistic one, combining their awareness’ in what appears to be as a “desire” to subsist within the environment in which they have their being. Every form of consciousness is likewise a form of microcosmic awareness existing within the context of a greater consciousness, an identifiably unique expression within a larger field of expression created by their own individual states of being.

Structural configurations are based upon patterns, i.e. archetypes that originate outside the environment required for survival. These templates create the relationships between awareness and consciousness both seen and unseen, patterns designed to either step up or step down in vibration solely for the purpose of securing, stabilizing and communicating a steady transmission of energy from one state of awareness to another.

In total these patterns co-join and conform in an attempt to adapt to a greater field of energy in which they have their being and to which together they resonate. Each species in a sense, is an identifiable component made symbolically relevant by describing a particular vibratory relationship between a macro field of consciousness and the micro patterned components/ participants resonating about and within the influence of its field of expression. In this manner by design each microcosmic expression creates its own symbolic link with both its Source, i.e. the greater environment in which it has its being, and assorted other fields in approximation of its surroundings. Each field thereby becomes an active participant and symbolic “bond” that represents a particular quality that together constitutes a greater field of awareness. In essence, these relationships develop and create a relative arrangement, construction and configuration to each and every situation encountered and/or experienced. In a nutshell this universal phenomenon coins the concept we describe as consciousness.

The earth, air, wind and water are microcosmic expressions of a planetary consciousness (Gaia) in which all other relative formations likewise participate and have their being e.g. humanity, animals, and vegetation. Each is a qualitative expression of a greater consciousness and symbolic of archetypal patterns that reach beyond the constraints of this planetary field and into other dimensions along with their own accompanying “universes”.

Organisms (forms) are patterned upon frequencies that appear to be the most appropriate for the situation; their materialization is the result of their striving for balance brought about by the exchange of energies within the constituency of fields at-large. Association, integration, and cooperation are fundamental to survival. The result of this perpetual quest for balance and harmony brings strength and adaptability in surviving the constraints of the environment. The concept of the survival of the fittest is merely an aspect of this persuasion. Greater fields of consciousness lend to better understanding and awareness of the highly convoluted and intricate relationships inherent to survival itself.

Design Metaphysics: The Enneagram

Composed of three triads the Ennead, or the nine-sided polygon, has been interpreted as being three times more sacred than all other configurations with each triad representing perfection, balance, and order. The highest level of attainment or possibility is where nine becomes the final number, the final form of consciousness in a progressive list of achievement and awareness, i.e. the nth degree.

The word ennead, or the nine (Greek) references an assembly of nine deities and in some early polytheistic religions as being symbolic of a great religious power. A natural number used in the grading of the purity of precious metals, in addition to representing the Emperors of China and various personality types, nine according to Ouspensky is a symbol meant to represent “ … any natural or whole phenomenon, cosmos, process in life or any other piece of knowledge.”

Three times three is an expression of perfection where the power of the “Holy Spirit” completes the divine will, i.e. the desire that emerged from the unknown in order to experience self through the constraints of a designed realm of consciousness. The final simple number and shape to symbolize the manifestation of mind, emotion, spirit and matter in quest of fulfillment and completeness.

The ennead is a systemic expression of harmony as conveyed within a perfected imagination and similarly within the nine choruses of Angels: the Seraphes, Cherubs, Thrones, Dominations, Principlaities, Powers, Virtues, Archangels and ordinary angels. Numerically the “magic square” is made of the first nine numbers that add to 15 in any direction.

The number nine signifies a pivotal point of periodic transition from the completion of one level of consciousness and the beginning of the next. Consciousness and the field in which it has it being, is afforded the opportunity to repeat circumstances, i.e. experiences, or break the cycle and follow a different path. Consciousness is sensitive to the patterns, designs and designations of the field at-large and is always in resonance with a greater field in which it has its being. Options are plenty with micro differences in significance and direction available when consciousness is placed into context.

Like the Muses of ancient Greece, daughters of memory and sources of the imagination, the number nine traditionally described the design process as a cosmic matrix that linked both micro and macro levels of consciousness within the constraints of cyclic behavior.

Design's use of the symbol is the tool used in the creation of relationships between the meaning and purpose of the creator (intention) and what has been made manifest (symbolized). All cognition, reason and emotions are expressed through design, as sacred symbols give form to the energies they represent. Design creates the metaphors that can either unite or destroy life by bringing into manifestation energies that are both visible and invisible.

Nine is the final number and therefore sets the limits where whatever can be attained has been completed and fulfilled. Nine signifies that consciousness has reached a particular threshold, a unity and culmination where the “universe consciously recognizes itself”, and is about to be born into a yet new environment/field filled with its own unique situations and potentialities.

Conscious Connection

Consciousness is connected to awareness by the symbolic expression of its own design, patterns that are both controlled and captured by the same energy formations to which they both vibrate and resonate. Consciousness engages itself by means of its own awareness solely in order to characterize its being within a particular dimensional context. Similarly, this particular “awareness” triggers into manifestation the symbolic system/s necessary to support its own particular perception of reality.

All characterizations of consciousness are determined within the symbolic context of the universe. Consciousness is constantly being remodeled and altered in response to the context in which it has its being. The meaning and purpose of any design is intimately entangled within the symbolic field and fabric of its own consciousness. Consciousness is embedded with the desire and drive for meaning and purpose, all to be made real through experience and a quest for wholeness.

Consciousness seeks out “situations” and circumstances that support its survival, its expression and its particular perspective. Thousands of relationships and potential associations are symbolically considered, all in search for balance and a particular frequency to which they can resonate. Together these relationships transfer energy into a package we perceive and describe as experience.

Negative experiences are likewise retained and create vibratory situations that can bring forward inconsistencies and/or incongruities. This kind of awareness is symbolically encoded in every design. Each expression is unique and can be randomly assembled and reassembled into numerous relationships, thereby creating a wide variety of choices with each responding in a different tenor.

When vibratory patterns complement a situation a relationship is created that will bring balance to the situation. Past experiences create a vast array of symbolic relationships to be considered. Consciousness has the capacity to adjust within its own constraints based upon experiences that once found balance both within and outside its own context.

Because change is perpetual we rely upon past experience to determine the most appropriate response to every situation, iterations that may or may not correspond to the circumstance at hand. Experience allows consciousness to refine its own awareness, become more inclusive in its perceptions and more understanding of its own design. i.e. vibratory patterns.

Consciousness encodes all symbols through experience. Symbols can be randomly assembled, uniquely configured and reconfigured incessantly. Each can be subjectively refined to accommodate every circumstance. Consciousness chooses what it believes to be the most appropriate venue (see belief systems) based upon experiences that are fundamentally reflections of its own awareness, i.e. perceptions of its own virtual environment in which it has its being. Experience allows for the expansion of consciousness through the symbolic understanding of particular designs, thereby bringing into relative "matter" a meaning and a purpose fundamental to every situation.
